So you new guys buying them I recommend you skip @Hagerty and go with Grundy.
Sounds like they need to reevaluate their evaluation process.

grundy is also more reasonably priced. Like 1000 dollars less then hagerty when i compared the two.

What Hagerty apparently doesn't understand is that no one is going to be buying a new GT3 at the $148k sticker price unless the individual has a buying history that is very strong at that dealer and also no one will actually be buying a base $148k sticker GT3.

$140k sounds fair. But I'd also say that it concerns me that Hagerty doesn't realize that many specialty cars have increased 10-20% in the last year.

Grundy seems good, but my concern has been the limitations on use. Hagerty seems to be the least restrictive.

I just realized that Porsche Auto Insurance, which is pay per mile, is now being offered in Ohio, so I'll likely be switching to them at some point. Since it's an agreed value policy. They also don't seem to have heavy restrictions. https://www.porscheautoinsurance.com/faq

I have an agreed value policy with State Farm on my 07 GT3. Price is less than half of Hagerty and fewer restrictions than Grundy. I just raised value to $120k no questions asked other than provide updated pictures

Not surprised, based on Hagerty's most recent Porsche Price Guide (Issue 45, May - August 2021), which, by the way, completely omits the 7.1 GT3 RS as a model. Published values are as follows (low value is condition #4 and high value is condition #1):

2007 GT3 -- $60,000 to $101,000
2008 GT3 -- $60,000 to $110,000
2010 GT3 -- $60,000 to $110,000
2011 GT3 -- $66,000 to $129,000
2010 GT3 RS -- $85,000 to $148,000
2011 GT3 RS -- $87,000 to $168,000

yep. i had the same disappointing valuation from Hagerty.
They are waaaay off the market right now. After a full week of emails, calls, etc, Rep finished off with: "don't worry, it comes & goes in cycles & your car will be back down where it should be in about 4 or 5 months".
I gave him a: "have a nice day", click.

"Porsche Auto Insurance is currently available for Porsche vehicles garaged in Arizona, Georgia, Illinois, Ohio and Oregon."

Anyone using https://secure.americancollectors.com/? They were "recommended" by USAA and have a USAA and PCA discount. A $500 deductable 2500 mile/year $130K state value policy is $1863 annually. I haven't been shopping around so I don't know if this is good or bad yet. It's for pleasure use only and does not cover DE (duh!).

That is quite reasonable. Allstate said they would insure mine up to 127 and I think mine comes out to ~1100 a year. Maybe in the future I will try grundy or yours if prices go up even more.

I have an agreed value with Grundy. No miles driven restrictions, 0 deductible and $300k liability. It was the most economical insurance coverage of all.

if you read the details it has the Sharkworks 3.9L upgraded motor plus upgraded suspension.

Not saying it’s worth 150 but there is some method behind the madness.

Now that the full listing is up I agree. It’s got a lot of nice updates and only 2,500 miles on the 3.9. Will it sell at $150K? Inquiring minds want to know. Seems like someone who should be a rennlist member or at least a heavy lurker…
