And I really, really liked your Turbo. Not surprised it sold quickly. Hope you get your RS back.
Link to yellow 3.9 sw car? I have a 4.1 sw car i might list in a few weeks.

It appears at one time he had a cae shifter on the car since that cf piece is from Cae. I agree, he should of at least returned that piece to stock.

The last two public (auction) sales of a Sharkwerks car sold for around retail pricing of a non-Sharkwerks GT3 at the time. I think that for the right buyer, that is already wanting a more powerful/modified GT3, then it's a great value proposition to already have the work done and not have to wait in line. However, I'd say that the buyer market for a 997 GT3 (since it's a raw car that is also very expensive) is already a very small % of the market. Add in someone that wants a modified example, I think it's an even smaller buyer pool. I think that's why you see these trading for around similar money (maybe +$10k) over a non-Sharkwerks car. Maybe this one will prove the prior two sales wrong, which would be great news.

If I was planning to keep a car forever, then absolutely I'd consider sending it to Sharkwerks, get 991.2 GT3 levels of power with solid reliability and probably the most reputable 997 GT3 engine builder.

Side note - what I put above is nothing against Sharkwerks. I've reached out to Alex for help and advice and he's always beyond willing to help and just genuinely a good guy, even though the question I asked was not specific to a produce he sells. I do have his exhaust on my car and I'd enjoy (under voluntary circumstances, not out of necessity haha) sending him my car for a build, years from now.

I bought my car with the 3.9 and upgraded to 4.1 All I can say if you are considering it do it now! I couldn't imagine owning this car at the stock power levels. At Daytona and Sebring I pull on 991 gt3rs's on the straights!

I don't track mine given my GT4 is dedicated for that, but I've often thought it would be amazing to have a SW "track rat" GT3 . . .

That car was won by someone in the SF Bay area.
The auction went off the rails briefly when the seller started spewing venom after a few too many beverages.
I met the seller 2 days before auction closed and let him use my lift for under car photo's.
It was a nice car, but other than the 3.9, nothing obviously remarkable good or bad.

Wish I would have met him 2 months previously, then the car would have been mine mine mine!

such is life.

Spot on.
Grundy, Leland West, Others? can deny claim if the car is used on an "errand".
Going to get gasoline could be considered an errand by a motivated legal team.

I dropped LW and went to Hagerty even when 25% more $$$.

My drives are all pleasure drives. As long as the car is not used to commute you should be fine. You need to have another car registered to you and a garage.
