The 997 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...

We'll see what happens with this $280k and $250k ask. I don't have a crystal ball. Collector grade standard GT3 can have an ask of $200k-$170k?
Everybody gave ISSIMI crap about the $195k 996 GT3 he has listed and they were flat-out rude as hell about it.

I listed my 2012 GTS on Autotrader for $109k firm a week ago. A guy sent me a rude message calling me an"idiot".for asking that much. I listed it here for slightly less and sold it twice in 30 minutes. Could have got the $109k. Maybe more. Maybe the new norm will be $120k for that car in 60 days. . But if a Rennlist sponsor listed it higher than I sold it for I wouldn't cry foul.

Many times when we hit a new threshold for higher prices there will be those that get annoyed by it. I've been there. Often those people are shoppers bummed out about their next purchase maybe getting out of reach, or sometimes they are people that sold that car for a lot less just months ago and they call bullsh*t since they didn't get "all the money".

As I read, still don’t know what you’re trying to point out. Maybe edit your post a bit so it concerns “marketing.”

Clean up on aisle 5
EDIT: I saw your comment stating "^^^^Same guy that defends CNC Motors because he’s a buddy. Grow up Kevin" and you made a similar comment here.
Don't make stuff up about me. I don't defend anything they've done that's bad.
Keep your weird and convoluted comments to yourself if they have anything to do with me.

Or leather.
The newsletter on market conditions was more about slightly veiled negative comments on pricing, profits, and condition of the car at the Mclaren dealership listed at $315k at the same time frame an alternative is offered with more miles and a lesser build sheet at $249k. Now we know the $315k McLaren dealer car is actually $280k.
Where does this land? Who knows. There are owners applauding and buyers bummed out. Just like housing.

“Per the Brumos service records, Level 5 over revs at 433 hours and approximately 21,000 miles.”
Doug’s comment” That car has been for sale for over a year now. Screwed themselves by trying to overprice it. It was available before they bought it for <$135k, but that was back when the market wasn't very strong. It appeared to be a decent car but well used, I was going to make an offer on the car directly to the owner but we couldn't work out an in-person inspection.”

I have decided to sell my Sharkwerks 4.1 997.1 GT3 and move to a cup car. I only have about 2,000 miles on it since upgrading it from the 3.9 to a 4.1 (and only 2 track days). It currently has about 47k miles. Original build thread is here: https://www.sharkwerks.com/2008-997-...umeric-shifter
It currently has a 997 cup car wing and graphics removed. It also is on the HRE wheels and cup2 tires from build thread along with gt2 suspension since the Ohlins were too aggressive on the street. What price do you think I should ask? It's no show car but overall in very good condition. There is some very very slight yellowing on bottom of rear bumper from running catless headers (can only tell unless really looking for it). I have a total of over $200k in the car.......
It has rear seats, seat belts, and bolt in harness bar to make it the perfect street/track car. I will probably regret selling it as it is a unicorn with this setup... It has been professionally maintained by Vortex in Tampa. I also has it detailed (and ceramic coated) less then a month ago.

This a tough one, note it may be difficult to recoup all of your costs.......but an auction might be the best option to do so.

Condition is often more important to people than options, and the one with 12k miles posted at $250k we've personally inspected and is among the top 5% of cars condition-wise, whereas the one listed at McLaren Chicago, while we've not personally inspected it, we've heard from numerous sources that it's not as clean as it should be for the mileage. The point of that post was to point out that there's a point in appreciating markets whereby the dealers and speculators get in the way of true market by paying any amount of money for cars with question marks, thereby eliminating the buyers who are looking to perform proper due diligence, and then adding a $50-100k markup or whatever it might be, without putting any value into the equation. They didn't make the car better, they didn't add security for the buyer, they didn't do anything that quality dealers have an expectation of doing in return for their deserved profits, they just threw up old photos and added $100k to a car that two other Porsche buyers had passed on given its reported condition/history.
