The 997 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...
Burning Brakes
Definitely a fast is smooth, smooth is fast car on track or roads. It does not like sudden inputs like you can get away with on most recent gens that forgive much more.

geezus Glen & 3PDLS ... a 10k mileage .2 with high spec similar to mine, sells for $215k,.... & also 14k miles sells at $190k (assuming it was also a .2),... and NEITHER were RS!! ... selling at those price points?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ... guess I am just KILLING the value on my car by driving it.
.... Planning to drive down the entire east coast this summer, hit "Back of" & Tail of Dragons etc etc. That should be good to knock another $10k-$15k off the value of mine!! hahaha

i feel like "high" mile cars dont take that big of a hit. 3 digit cars seem to flop, 4 digit cars pull collector dollars but the delta between 20k and 40k+ is hardly worth missing out on the experience.
If my car sits for 2 weeks, i feel the need to go pack some miles on it. Inching towards 32k and sure ill get to 35 this summer!

I will always look at condition/records first. Spec and mileage are second and third for me and it probably depends on the day and the specific car for which I’m going to put more emphasis on. In your case with such a great spec’d car, someone will always pay up for that car and in your case I don’t think it matters as you’re not selling. Enjoy!

Has it really been a month since BAT has had a 997? is that a sign of something… I’d say people are driving them but I know better most of these are garage trophy’s.
What’s funny to me is the number of miles it’s taken me to get decent at driving this is more miles than most guys have total.

Hood is lifted on passenger side
Hole in front bumper @ wheel wells. Who installs the black plastics over the paint.
The worst graphics. Shoddy print job. Shoddy cut job and shoddy application. The letters don't line up properly.
Wheels are in bad condition.
Tires that are almost 10 years old.
Whoever styled the car needs to be shot. Blacked out lights, tinted windows, carbon wing, graphics and intakes are just too much for that car

That's a terrible example, especially at that price. Shot rotors

Yeah, it doesn't look good and good dealer could have easily corrected those things you mentioned, well minus the pccb's.

Speaking from personal experience, there’s little more satisfying than cosmetically rescuing one of these.
