Are you sure about that? Did they tell you that directly? That's crazy. The only thing it has going for it is the mileage. Red is not the highest resale color and the build is just so-so.

As to Gooding, Mecum, or Monterey determining the market that's being a bit generous. It's one weekend. I think BAT sets the standard more than anywhere simply by the sheer numbers of GT cars sold. But you can't even say that. The market is the market and includes everything from auction houses, BAT, Pcarmarket, Autotrader, and dealers. Now if you're talking about auctioning a Delahaye, that's different.

Getting back to the red car, I just don't get $205k. They contacted me about buying my GTS and I did not care for their vibe. Douchey. As it turned out a dealer DID buy it from me and I didn't know until taking the deposit. They paid my ask. I should have kept it but I had forklifts running by it and my warehouse guys were terrified to hit the boss' car.

I’m glad individuals are starting to realize that PCCB will bring better dollars. The days of selling them are over. Could do what FLT6SPD is doing and have an extra set to sell. Those that now have them will be thinking twice about getting rid of them as they’re probably the number two discrep behind the DME.

Monty WILL set the bar if more individuals and dealers are willing to forgo the somewhat erratic online auction. Still though, it’s the ONLY way to see what one is paying. All the others methods are unknown unless you’re the little buzzy sitting on the the wall.

The All Things Porsche guy gave me a weird vibe a year back when looking at a 996 GT3 he had. He asks the moon for all his cars but he does seem to find some nice ones.

He gets some very nice cars but I'm really not sure how. He verbally abused me via text message when I didn't sell him a car last year, and I was told by a client of mine that he did the same, to the point my client had to block his number and then block other numbers that he used to then continue to harass my client. I really don't understand how some people stay in business. (This is not hearsay, nor exaggeration.)

Got the VIN via my database. It's a "one of one" spec so it's Corvette Rare.

Ready for my sardonic opinion?

"only year with clear taillights" who freaking cares

"babied since purchased, never tracked" - dude just bought it 7 months ago, he can't know that

"continue to go up in value" - then keep it

"only continue to appreciate in value" - then keep it

"This car has all the important factory options" - except PCCBs, Full Leather, Front Axle Lift - ya know, just the three big ones

"The car has exquisitely soft paint" - Must be really prone to rock chips or insults then.

The 4k mile red .2 GT3 is not priced at $205k. It's priced at $210k. Crazy.

congrats. That seems like a great buy. You mind sharing what a great price is equal to?

That’s prices I assumed the cars would be at in 10 years. How much is mine worth? Lol.

Thank you for the lead!! Appreciate it! This is really why this forum is invaluable. So much information sharing and insights. RL members helping each other is every bit part of the buying process.
