There just isn't much out there right now.

Wish I had the extra funds to start looking Sept-Nov of last year.
Did you have a budget you need to align with? I guess that Guard's Red car wasn't in your ballpark. I suspect with some patience Doug will find you something nice. I was scanning 997.2 GTS prices since I'm putting mine on BAT, and found Autotempest.com came up with stuff I would have missed. Not so with GT3 but you never know. My GTS is mint, had 20k miles, and was on Craigslist

I have a fluid budget at this point. I'd like to stay around $130 or less, but in the end I have a feeling it'll take way more. My internal struggle is when the budget gets to $160+ and 991.2 manuals become an option.

Try to find a dealer that'll let you test drive a 991.2 GT3. Or try to get a ride in one from someone local to you. They do feel like different cars. If you're planning on loading miles onto it and want a bit more comfort, I'd probably go 991.2. If you want something for weekends only and as an occasion car, 997.

What do you guys think of this .2 RS? Blue/Red with 17k miles and PCCB. $147k original MSRP. Asking price is $190k. Looks as if it has lived a life on the track judging by the toasted rotors and the half cage in the back.

that color is a beauty but I might swap out the red graphics for another color

can't say about track time - I put a roll-bar in mine simply for poseur looking car jewelry!

7.2 or 1.2, my plan is partial daily and weekend fun (with some trips to COTA). So probably 5,000-7,000 miles per year. I have no doubt they will feel different and up to this point I've wanted to NOT spend 1.2 money and I like the idea of a smaller car. But....plans change.

It’s mainly the rotors that make me skeptical. The rollbar just adds to it.

If it were just the rollbar I was going by, then I wouldn’t jump to the conclusion that it has lived a life on the track.

Accident/damage reported on that one too. One owner, so possibility that they're some documentation included on what happened or the repair.

The Superman looks nice but I’m on my phone so tough to see.

I wouldn’t let the roll bar or rotors scare you, just negotiate....
