The only constant is it really it blows my mind how stupid high used porsche prices are. You're buying used, it's like people value them more, the more used up they are

I could not believe it when someone paid 75k for our 2007 gt3 in 2014 at 7 years old and I cannot believe what my 2019 Gt3rs is worth today. The 997 should have been 50k maybeeee, and my gt3rs should be 150k today best case.

I'm still on the hunt for one. Have been for a couple of years. Should unload the others first, but I love them a lot. Their both bad as s cars. But the 997 3 is the cats meow imo.....

my friend was interested in it and I went to go look at it for him. They want 125 I believe and were going to make him put down a pretty hefty non refundable deposit on the car to claim it. I will say the car was pretty clean though. If anyone is interested, I can answer some questions about condition and lukkas can chime in about experience with the sales associate.
are people just putting numbers on cars (and they're selling), or is there any real way to price a vehicle (I know Doug mentioned he's out of that game)?

Honestly David, I don't know how to price these anymore haha. You got your RS at a good time; still shaking my head about passing on your previous beautiful cobalt car.

I think some salespeople may say some dickish stuff to simply get rid of those that are not buyers. The guy I bought my GT3 from was number #1 Top Shelf A**hole for sure, but he showed me his e-mail inbox from Autotrader and it looked like daily he was being contacted by at least a half-dozen people, and according to him (remembering he is an a**hole) almost all the contacts were strokes. There's plenty of guys here that have sold GT3's so they would know better than me. Perhaps selling one could be a lot of work compared to selling a 911S.

The Cliff Notes version is that every lowballer, tire-kicker and dreamer that was supposedly in the market for a GT3 came out of the woodwork. None of them would come to look at and drive the car, which had 40K miles (OMG!! High Mileage!!) but was never tracked, has a 100% clean DME, nicely optioned with full leather, nav, etc and is a recent PCA concours winner. In other words, a "cars & coffee" special. One so-called buyer bailed at the last minute after promising to buy after I made the mistake of not asking for a deposit and two others supposedly wanted it "after they sold their current car" which weren't Porsches.
I will never, ever understand why a serious prospective buyer would spend GT3 money without ever seeing or driving the car first. Because a plane ticket costs too much?? And then there are the buyers who don't have the funds ready....
In the unlikely event that I ever do decide to let it go, sorry, it will not be advertised on Rennlist. Too much buyer drama here.

They wanted a $10,000 non refundable deposit and a signed buyers order saying I would take the car before even seeing it in person.
Said “it will be gone in a second you either want it or you don’t”
Looks like it still there.
