The 997 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...
#8326
I’m doomed. 100% certain now. There’s no turning back. I lived in Vienna for 2 years during grad school and due to my friend group I became absolutely captivated by two things; Porsche and Rolex. I’ve been madly on the hunt for a Sea Dweller, either a 16600 or maybe a 116600 for the right price, but kinda set my sights higher and said I’d skip the watch n go for a 997 gt3. I’m aware I jumped a few levels there, but here we are. I came here for the 997, and here we are talking Rolex. I’m in deep ****.

want to bring this car back up - Does everyone here think that the ONLY reason this car sold for $92.5 (+ fees), with only 14k miles and $120k original MSRP,... was because of a rear quarter paint blend?
... comments dismissed the 26 Range 1 DME hits over 150 hrs prior,... so that doesn't seem to be enough reason.

2. Maybe the paintwork, it didn't have the panel replacement, just the paintwork.
3. Low time in the market
4. Selling it on BAT, where normal GT3's don't always seem to bring the highest number.
5. Didn't actually sell for that, went reserve not met and then Doug wholesaled it, if I remember correctly. Even at $93k, would have been a $97k sale price. But that was probably a $100-105k car.
Sold my IWC Big Pilot 5009 when I was buying my GT3.

Get gt3... i just dont understand why watches are so crazy expensive. I started buying watches in 2010 where 116610 was $8k and i bought my 1660lv for 5k and 116520 for 10k... in the end, its just a watch. I dont even wear them anymore and they sit in my safe deposit box.
last year!
Btw, want to trade your 116520 for my AP

Great advice! Same here with watches collecting dust in storage - have Patek, AP Royal Oak Offshore, JLC, Chopard and others, but no Rolexes. Been wanting a Daytona for years now waiting for prices to stabilize, and look where they are these days!? So glad I got my PTS GT3 and 997TTS during the dark days of Covid when everyone was fearful

If it's still available, surprising. More surprising is the fact that some would rather buy off of BAT, with fees and competition than just calling the dealership and viewing the car in person without all the competition.

We are paying strong money for the following on behalf of retained clients:
CLEAN 997.2 GT3 RS, open on color. Looking for a tip-top example, <10k miles, non-tracked, non PTS.
Also looking for a best-of-the-best PTS 3.8, so there's that.
Blue (Cobalt or Midnight) 997.1 GT3 <25k miles
White 997.1 GT3 with full leather, lots of interior options, ideally with yellow stitching and PCCBs

Yes, fully agree. Take this watch conversation to a new thread in the off topic section. Don't pollute this for sale thread and make it hard to track what's going on here.
