That's an awesome car and a super high MSRP for a GT3 but $6800 of that is for carbon fiber pieces. To be honest, I would pay half that to NOT have any carbon trim in my car. All those pieces delaminate over time and you're stuck with either very expensive replacement, or replacing with a different material and losing originality. The carbon trim Porsche used in the 997 series is a disaster. Shame, because it does look cool.

both shops are **** retentive, especially Nathan at CV. I bought several cars from Nathan, no disappointments.
Thanks Mooty! I concur I am a little ****... hence not listing the car until I am happy I have all the pieces of the puzzle right! So far everything looks great. I tell you people must follow this thread like hawks as my inbox blew up...

Side note - really enjoyed your Boxster Spyder review for PCA.

The center console can crack if you lean on it, and the ashtray warps. It all cracks but the key is temperature. Don't let it sit in direct summer sun and make sure you have the best window tint and a front sun screen. I tried to keep mine in good shape years ago and failed. It's just too flippin' hot here.

It's surprising how bad the CF quality is. Even the soft touch plastic center console that came stock is not a great material. I have a carbon console and trim waiting to be installed come spring from DB Carbon, which should last well. I considered leather as well, but 2x the cost for something that looked too similar to the plastic I already had.

The leather console is nice. I had it in my Turbo.

199 with fees so I’ll call that 200k. Definitely a trend developing.

Agree. Looks like some outward dents on the passenger quarter as well. Most likely the 997 rivet situation. Wondering if that panel has prior paint work and the window seal was removed to complete it, given the quantity of dents that panel has (most likely not just one rivet but multiple rivets, if that is what caused the dents).

That shifter looks destroyed for 20k miles. Mine has 35k on the clock and looks 5x better. I’m very surprised this car is this rough, previous owner drove it like he stole it. The roll cage connection with the carpet would bother the crap out of me. Looks like someone who had 5 too many drinks install that baby. And what’s crazy is it’ll probably sell for that price. Looking back, very happy I bought Curts car when I did. There’s nothing available for a decent price. The housing market in the NW is experiencing the same thing. What a time to be alive
