The prices of the 2 have been equalizing for some time.
Why? Dunno. But the .1 cars are more reliable. Don't have those pesky variocan issues

What did the white RS go for with 565 miles?

225K plus 10% buyer premium (so 247K total for the buyer)

i was there thinking of buying it but car didn't have manuals, service books or window sticker. Absolutely nothing came with the car... Even second key was missing I think. But the car itself was great - I examined every inch of it and couldn't find a single problem.

Thats a good predictor of a low mile car. Not sure if that can be considered a collectible car as it does not have books and window sticker. Keys can be replaced. I would say max msrp on that is 160k. So 240s is a success.

Correct, there was not a "single" problem with it, there were multiple problems with it:

1. Aftermarket wheels and factory wheels not included;
2. All factory decals had been removed;
3. Aftermarket side view mirrors, factory ones not included;
4. Driver seat bolster leather had been replaced.

Coupled with everything it was missing that you pointed out, someone paid all the money for this one.

Are you talking about the white car with 565miles?
500 miles with all those issues? I would not expect the bolster would be replaced on a 500 miles car.

An auction becomes the ideal venue for a seller of a car that has been modified, doesn't have proper records and wouldn't stand up to a thorough PPI because these issues get glossed over by most auction buyers. In this particular case, the car was purchased by a telephone bidder, so who knows if that person ever saw the car in person, had it inspected by someone, or just relied upon the catalog and whatever the auction representative said about it.

Better stock colors.

Right on with everything you said. Without going into specifics, some of the other RS's that sold had a few issues which I believe were reflected in the selling price. Even without a PPI…a buyer that discussed the cars with the seller would've known.

The 4.0…even without buckets…looked beautiful btw…$605k with 10% premium!

#1 and #3 is not an issue since it buyer could easily reverse to original (albeit at extra cost) but why do you think this car came with factory decals? i am pretty sure it didn't but would love to hear why you think it did. as far as I can tell out of 71 White '07 997.1 GT3 RS cars only 25 had "Side Stripes and Logo Dev Clr" so maybe this is one of 46 that didn't have option CNL?

totally missed #4 - how can you tell?

AFAICT .... and I have no dog in the fight .... this car DID NOT have the following options:

CNL Side Stripes and Logo Dev Clr CNR Rear Wing End-Plates Dev Clr CNZ Side Mirror in Deviating Color CRY 19" GT3 RS Wheel Deviating Clr

so it may not have originally had the side stripes/logo ... but it also did not originally have the rest of the black bits

my information is 'as is no warranty'

That green car is not correct either. The car originally had wheels, graphics, mirrors, and side plates in deviating color. Whoever put those black graphics on got them misaligned and missed the front piece. Only the rear wing end plates are still in deviating color.

Oh and it's not Viper Green. None of them were.

They all had graphics unless specified otherwise. This particular one had silver wheels.
