4.2 lost oil pressure on the track and eventually a crack was found in the block. It was replaced with a 3.8 out of a 2012 997.2 Cup Car.
Good finds, will be interesting to see what this car goes for tomorrow. Seems like it will set the "floor" for Pumpkins since it should go as cheap as it gets with the miles/history/etc.

Earlier in thread you posted "5.0 out of 5.0 condition report"

What does 5.0 signify? Needs work?

Thanks-

5.0 is the best score an auction car can get. Meaning 0 issues, according to the person who did the report at the auction.

OK, interesting, glad I asked on their site it says 5 means needs repairs which did not match the pics, the car looks immaculate in the pics, so I was not sure.
Thanks for clearing it up.

2000 Miles a year - $8.55/mile
10000 Miles a year - $2.70/mile

even if we up the resell depreciation to $2/mile it works out.
$12k in opportunity cost per year is not insignificant but the last few years, the growth in the cars value has been keeping up with cash/inflation and then some. At least a 997 GT3 is not a depreciating asset 'right now', which can not be said for most toys.

Doing a cash out refinance on the car might actually be worth it lol!
