I looked it up and I think they paid under $90k for it. It may be that it's fine, but no mater what it salvage title so $179k may be a bit much. What's the typical discount on a salvage car? 30%? Google it and you can see the auction pix pretty easy.

On that pumpkin if they were taking it back to stock why did they remove the decals?

Really like this with the sticker's off, really shows off the classic (almost best for me) lines of a 911. Just does it for me.....Love em either way, but, really love the 997 lines....

My guess is paint correction, then Re-decal? best ROI is my guess....

Is this the one that the guy withheld the deposit after the buyer found out about some previously undisclosed accident?

No, that one didn't have PCCB's and was an American car imported to Canada. Car in the link is an original Canadian car.

They definitely listed this wrong given they’re calling it an RS and it’s a GT3.

Price seems high for a 40k mile car with accident damage including airbag deployment.

I am a dealer and found the car at Manheim. It has OEM buckets in it yet and appears to have a CEL. They gave it a 5.0 out of 5.0 condition report. Something I rarely ever see. VIN: WP0AC299X7S793248

It runs through Manheim Nashville on 8/28

Interesting, from the HBI videos I can see they say this car has a CUP engine in it and some were referencing that its a 4.0+ engine. Also other videos show it has a CAE massive shifter. Are there any other details or photos of the interior posted on Mannheim?

They gave it a 5.0 because it’s one of Chad’s.

The car you are referencing did get re-listed on AutoTrader CA but for some reason I cannot find it today. It basically went up with the same ad and maybe slightly more info on what CarFax would show. Maybe it sold?

I actually ended up buying that controversial car...mia culpe. Feel free to flame me...I had a hard time with the morals but at the end of the day, the guy had to come way down in price to make the deal, so I felt that made it sort of alright. I spend a lot of time in Vancouver (in-laws are there) and figured I'd lay eyes on the car with no intention of buying it since I'd decided a .1 gt3 was what I wanted but had never even sat in one; went to see the car and it was beautiful. The guy actually seemed like a decent human being and he was super helpful and transparent with the sale and helped me get everything together so that I could drive it across the border/import it properly. I don't agree with him withholding the previous buyer's deposit and it's certainly not what I would have done, but I didn't feel like the car deserved to be punished and get sold to a dealer, etc. There was some deferred maintenance and some stuff I need to get right, but it's nice to finally be a 997 GT3 owner . Hopefully you all will still have me lol

I don’t see the issue for you. Prior transaction didn’t go through. You’re not endorsing the seller by taking his kickass car away from him . . .

Wouldn’t be truly OE buckets unless it’s a RoW, so those are transplant buckets and more likely than not to have a CEL.

I know folks in Nashville if anyone is interested. I can try to get someone to have a look before auction.
