2000 Miles a year - $8.55/mile
10000 Miles a year - $2.70/mile

even if we up the resell depreciation to $2/mile it works out.
$12k in opportunity cost per year is not insignificant but the last few years, the growth in the cars value has been keeping up with cash/inflation and then some. At least a 997 GT3 is not a depreciating asset 'right now', which can not be said for most toys.

Doing a cash out refinance on the car might actually be worth it lol!

I have a baby seat in the front of mine, don’t worry it gets driven! Haha

For the miles and history we've seen, it actually looks pretty clean to me other than some wear & tear.

If that's a real price with no stories, I bet it sells in 24 hours.

have they fallen or are these trade in dealers just trying make a reasonable 10k and be out so they don’t have to carry the bag… the majority of the used market seems to be getting a bit skiddish about inventory right now

Most of the time guys willing to trade questionable GT cars is because they don’t want to deal with this thread lol

1) I called on this for the hell of it this morning to buy it and beat on it for 3 months until my 3RS comes, and then realized it was stupid to buy this as these cars are old and can be headaches
2) Car market is in a bigg decline, monterey car week was a disaster (I was there) nothing is really selling
3) Ryan friedman or merit will proly this and put some lipstick on it as it is rough, I have pics from 8 hours ago

I wish I could post the video but, Front bumper, white part above the spoiler, looks not good
rear bumper has been hit and scuffed
left side has been scuffed and side skirts look like they came off a lot of track days and haven’t been cleaned much. Rotors are scored like it’s been tracked and probably not a lot of life on the rotor. Shifter boot is broke, piece is missing and nav screen is pretty much fully busted, and the side of the seat looks like 100k miles. The front tow hook cover looks suspect, maybe old ppf, or maybe sign front bumper got a respray

also it being a PR car is definitely a minus, I’d take a CA car over PR

if it was in good shape I proly would have bought it and tracked it this fall and dicked around with it for fun for a few months
