Use this tool Epic VIN for mainly looking up previous sales, photos, and recorded mileage. Not as much for accident and damage history. So not sure it is 100% accurate. However it did indicate an accident from 2012 that was declared a total loss.

I tried to do a Google search of the VIN and nothing showed up. I didn't run a Carfax as I'm not buying. I tried Vinanalytics to get options and it was just the generic output, no details.
2008 white with black interior. 27K miles for $122,700.
Hope a member gets it before it's too late.

I spoke with them yesterday - the car spent the first 13 years of its life in Puerto Rico, imported in 2019. They will provide the carfax if requested, but there are no proper records until 2019 when it was imported and basic maintainence was done.

The dealer also has a Porsche arm across the street but they "have no intentions of running a DME a this time." I clarified if they don't intend to or refuse to, and have been ghosted since. I said very simply all I would need is a DME and an inspection from the Porsche dealer across the street then I'd buy it, but they said it will be sold as is and they plan to auction it in a week if it doesn't sell as is. So lots of red flags if the Porsche arm isn't even taking it and their refusal to provide further buyer assurance.

Interior condition is rough too.... Great option for someone looking for a track car, but I'd rather spend 150k for a cleaner example with proper documentation... so if anyone has one coming to market soon hit me up.

Yeah that one does look like a great deal. Hope someone jumps on it. For better or worse I am trying to hold out for one of my preferred colors....

Wow - thanks for the heads up - this forum and its members are great! Way to many red flags in my opinion too.

The Orange .1RS did $203k at the auction and was sold to Porsche Santa Clarita. They kept reiterating that is was never tracked as it was running across the block. Bold statement for sure. Vin again for good measure: WP0AC299X7S793248

This is exactly why I throw in the towel on used Porsches and especially GT cars. It’s one thing if your paying less then half the price of a new one and it’s got low miles. But when the market is strong for total beaters, it’s like….well I’ll just buy a brand new gt3rs I get to order for literally LESS then the one that is 12-15 years old. Which is literally what I’m doing, I’ll pay low 300’s for a brand new one, with no stories, perfect condition ordered exactly as I wish…..or I can go shop for lipstick on a pig examples with hidden stories for even more at scumbag shops like Friedman and merit and Grand Prix

Love the 997.2 RS, but the shopping experience and rationale makes no sense unless you literally do what you did, I don’t have the time and patience for that lol

I commend you for that as it’s a very special car

Wowww. I guess this is the "floor" for pumpkins now with it being a wholesale auction, and condition of the car. I assume there were other bidders bidding it up to that amount too and not just 1 dealer. I'm just glad I was able to secure my Pumpkin before this one comes on the market asking 240+ at this dealer and others adjust their prices too on them. Sadly I still have to wait 30 days before it lands at my door.

As the saying goes "If it sounds to good to be true..."
Thanks for the heads-up. WAY too many red flags there if they outright refuse to run a DME or allow a PPI. I'm guessing they paid very little for the car and are now just trying to move it quickly.

"Original paint. Not some modded up example. It's a nice one. All stock besides Sharkwerks muffler bypass. Never tracked."
