WTB GT3 - deposit in house:

2007-08 preferred, will also look at well priced 997.2 with sport buckets.

No track rats, not scared of mileage but want a well maintained example. Condition is more important than the number on the odometer.
Prefer an Arctic or GT Silver. Absolutely no White, Black or meteor grey. No color matched wheels.
Pricing depends on the example, but $85-90k ideally.

The VIN on that car (WP0AC2A98BS783368) pulls up lots of different previous sales in several different configurations, including a current Rennlister selling it back in 2012...

There is also something a bit strange about that particular dealer listing the RS, as every other car they have in their small inventory is under $35K. Not exactly a high end car dealer.

Does anyone have the lowdown on this car (WP0AC299X8S792263)? I found a BEWARE thread elsewhere due to paintwork, but I'll be wrapping and running the car hard, so I don't mind a storied past:

from the looks someone may have run it HARD before you... I’d be scrupulous when inspecting to check the drivetrain health.

Anyone have more info on this car? What options did it have?

I think it sold but I am curious.

Just like the Heritage Ford GT's, it's amazing what people will pay for a paint job.

Great car. Good luck. Interesting listening to Spike Ferestens (sp?) pod cast this AM about 997 values predicted to march up. There was an internet billionaire on the show who has 10 cars from his collection going to Gooding Amelia Island next month.

Thanks @TexasPorschelover. These 997's are special. If it wasn't for the 991.2 GT3 Touring I have on the way, I wouldn't be selling.

Right, you're referring to Jan Koum, a co-founder of WhatsApp. He's local to the area where this car is located. I'm not him, obviously. :-)
