RS4.0 coming up for auction. 2962 miles. Was surprised to see that aftermarket gas pedal on such a low milage RS4.0. Also, there were 142 RS4.0's delivered to the US. 16 to Canada. 21 of the total 158 RS4.0's for North America had the lightweight headlight option (13%), so you can be the judge of whether or not that is an uncommon option as described in the listing.WP0AF2A9XBS785713

Epic car, don't think anyone is going to care much about the headlights one way or the other. But the low miles they definitely will.

aren’t the “lightweight” headlights just the standard halogens that every 997.1 came with if you didn’t option BiXenons (standard on .2 GT3)? They are lighter weight because they don’t have the little motors for auto leveling the beam and they don’t have the headlight washers.

Sorry but I gotta crack a joke... You want serious buyers aware of the market yet posted a 991 in the 997 forum?

Point noted and respected. Will gladly remove the post. Figured appropriate place not by 911 model series but level of car. I would like to think and am pretty much sure many can appreciate. Not like I posted it in an air-cooled section =)

No, not in the air-cooled section. But regardless it really belongs in classifieds especially since you are a dealer.

oops - corrected above. Thanks for the catch. I saw “final bid” and am used to BAT format where it would say sold if it actually sold.

The 601-mile .1 GT3 failed to sell yesterday. Bid up to $185k.

This just makes no economic sense for anyone. The seller would have only seen it appreciate ~$25k in 10+ years and otherwise got virtually zero value out of owning it. The buyer would have to make a decision....If they wanted to drive it they'd have to deal with the depreciation down from the extra high price the seller wants and then spend spend a bunch to fix the issues with it sitting (looks like tires are new-ish, who knows about the rest?) Or they could sit on it and hope it appreciates which I doubt will happen. Seems like the best option is for the seller to keep it and drive it.

Who knows. I don't get it. Maybe they thought it would fetch 250 based on the 6k mile one that sold for 196 back in April. The 500 mile Blue .2 RS didn't really meet expectations as well if i recall correctly. I'm all for keeping a car nice to mitigate depreciation but literally not driving it seems super pointless.
