1 owner, manual C4S with ~18K miles and clean carfax. The price seems high, but values are all over the place and I could be wrong. What says the collective?

I agree. Seems high for C4S without that many options. I'd say mid 40's or so.

Many seller scams have a "too good to be true price" and a seller out of country for various reasons. I would be EXTREMELY cautious or not even waste your time.

According to game theory and evolution (women have highly evolved BS detectors so men have had to raise their games througout history) - scammers need to raise their art as detections are raised.

The obvious defect (front bumper) could be an example of that ( like a magician - "don't look at the pretty girl" )

Scammers aren't always looking to get the whole $65k but a few marks willing to send $2-3k deposits. $10-15k free money is a good weeks work.

Private sellers wouldn't have the dealer's "AVAILABLE" plate on the car and then there's this -

(It's critical to note that the lead photo (car in suburb is from 2015). One other photo is more than likely from 2017 where you can see the expiration tag on the window.

Looks like a scam to me. Not a doubt. There's a "report fraud" button at the bottom of AutoTrader

This has to be a scam. Has all the signs. 1) Seller is out of the country, 2)no phone calls, 3) Priced well below the market but also not ridiculously low to make it seem obvious.

Rare Aqua Blue GTS. Probably priced a bit on the high side, but I said I wasn't interested after finding out it had an overrev range 6 about 30 hours ago (210 units, whatever that means).

How big of a deal are overrevs?

I would't pass on this car just because of the DME because there was clearly some electronic glitch that caused it. Ranges 1-3 look normal, and then you get an increasing reading in 4-6. That's not physically possible. You can't have more ignitions in range 6 than you do in range 3. Something is wrong with the readout.

It also had range 4-5. The guy said he missed a shift but realized immediately and pushed the clutch in. He also said he had a blackstone analysis done and it was clean, so there is that.

That GTS is hawt. Have a Aqua Blue Met Targa 4S and LOVE the color. Sounds silly but the color totally adds to my experience. It can be bright in the sun or more balanced in the winter days. Get people stopping me often to tell me how much they like the color and car. Have had other P car owners claim in person its the best Porsche blue (obviously subjective).

I like the color combo. Spec is pretty basic and no sport chrono (if it matters to you). I guess it depends on how much you value low miles vs. the specs you want in a car. $53k seems high but it is at a dealer, so paying a bit over private party resale value is to be expected. It looks like you're local, so it may be worth going in person to check it out and seeing if they're willing to come down a bit in price.

I had an Aqua Blue Boxster, which is why I was interested in this one! Awesome color

My local dealer has a fairly basic but nice looking early 997:

That's what I was thinking, but my guesses have been coming in low lately.

Cool, thanks for the input. That color combo isn't my favorite, so they'd have to lower the price quite a bit for me to consider it. Someone else will probably snap it up, though.
