Yeah, it’s a fraudulent ad. Classic “Virgin Airlines pilot” scam.

Interesting story is that I recently cleared on Autocheck entry for my buddy so he could sell his Mansory Veyron for $2.0 mm. The Carfax was clearn but buyer's agent ran an Autocheck which showed rear impact . . . a rear impact that never happened. My buddy had the car since new and I spoke to the guy that worked on it throughout the years as well. We finally found the problem after lots of research and chasing down a report with an incorrect number.

Someone had apparently parked their bicycle behind my buddy's Veyron. My buddy left and the little bicycle beotch's pants were apparently tight enough to impede oxygen flow to rational parts of their brain . . . He allegedly came out, found his bicycle on the ground, called the police and made a report. My buddy's tag is easy because it was custom. Cops made the police report, my buddy never knew about it and Autocheck picked up on it and reported it as a rear impact.

This "rear impact" was in the process of cancelling a $2.0 mm sale and would have reduced the value of this very special 1 of 1 in the US Mansory Veyron by about 20% or $400k as there was rumors circulating one of the 3 Mansory Veyrons in the world was wrecked and converted to Veyron to conceal the prior wreck (rumor, not fact as no one would pay $1.2 mm Euro for a Mansory package for a wrecked Veyron) and we knew the other owners as well.

I contacted Autocheck and initially threatened suit, but when we found out what happened every had a good laugh, they took the little bicycle beotch's temper tantrum off the Autocheck report, the sale was consummated and the this very special car now has a properly clean history.
great story but where did you guys bury this bicyclist?

I actually left out another interesting detail.

The accident report was made in like 2011 or 2012 and the bicyclists had long since moved so we could not contact him to get him to admit he did not actually see "impact" if it became necessary. Because the Autocheck report said 6 years ago, my buddy was doing all kinds of mental hurdles trying to figure out if maybe he let someone drive it back then, even a valet, who damaged it and had it repaired telling him and etc. before we were actually toi put hands on the actual accident report.

Thankfully, Autocheck revised their report just based on the details and information contained in the accident report so I did not have to track down the bicycle owner who made the report.

That was a screaming good deal IMHO. Did you PPI the car ?

Is the exhaust update for peace and quiet or for passing TXDOT ?

Yes, I drove the car home with just a deposit to do the ppi, havent registered the car so for now the exhaust is for the noise, it was way too loud at all Revs!! But the car looks amazing and have been asked to trade 2 times already.

Probably say $68k up to $75k depending on maintenance, interior/exterior condition, desirable options, and your motivation to sell.

Despite "minor damage" listed on carfax, car has a nice build and reasonable price.

Prices are all the place right now. CPO cars with less than 30k miles are being listed in $80k range. Previously wrecked non-CPOs are in the $60k range. I dunno, Blue . . . it really depends upon how quickly want to sell or if you get lucky and find people looking for a Blue. This is can season so the time to sell us now.

i meant to say 30k miles instead of $29k.

cargurus.com has been the best for me. Sold my wife’s 997.2 cab in like 48 ish hours and had 2 full price offers and one for $1k less than asking price all come in on day 2.

i listedit in cars.com as well, but the 3 offers came in through cargurus. I usually shop cars.com first as I think it is easier to navigate. I NEVER use or look at autotrader for whatever reason. Like the other two much better for both buying and selling. Good luck.

Cab and PDK aren't as desirable as a coupe with a manual, but you should still have no trouble selling it. Does it have other desirable options such as full leather and 18-ways? If it were a coupe and manual, you could get $75k, so maybe mid to high 60's? I would list it for mid to low 70's, just to see where the market is at.

I bought this car. Chris and Mike wouldn't move on the price at all @ $54,988. The car has a "Other Damage" indicator on Carfax but checked out (both by Phillips Auto and my PPI @ Turbo Ted in Newport) to have no accidents whatsoever. The car's been repainted, but only the front and rear bumpers from the PPI - according to Turbo Ted (one of the long time Porsche guys in Newport Beach), there's no signs of any accidents or collisions. Mechanically, it passed with flying colors: no codes, no leaks, all bushings are good. I bought the car thinking that the relative rarity (997.2 C4S with the below options), and the actual condition + maintenance records of the car made it a good buy.

Some not-so-great comments first:
  • Car has been repainted
    • Front bumper (mentioned in Carfax as "Other Damage") - no structural repair, simple repaint.
    • Rear Bumper (will need to be repainted properly in the future) - no structural repair, simple repaint.
    • 5 Previous Owners - wow!
Now to the great comments (italics denote aftermarket):
  • 2009 997.2 Carrera 4S "Launch Edition"
  • Carbon Fiber bucket seats (apparently a $6K option when ordered in 2009, now a $11K Suncoast addition)
  • Sport Chrono Plus
  • PDK
  • Full leather
  • Sport Design steering wheel with paddles
  • PASM
  • Self Dimming mirrors
  • Bluetooth interface
  • Navigation PCM module
  • Bose sound
  • Champion Motorsports H&R springs
  • HRE P43SC wheels
  • Tubi Style exhaust
  • Full Clearbra to mid fenders + headlights
  • Have full maintenance records from PO including 40K, brake, and PDK service at Porsche Beverly Hills
  • 70% - 80% remaining on tires
  • 70% remaining on brake pads
What do you guys think of the deal?
