I also did send them a picture of my steering wheel to make sure they sent the right cut. Now it wasn't pain free, and I want to give the bottom spoke an extra stitch or two to tighten it. But for $64 I couldn't be happier. And it also feels much better with the extra thickness.

Amazon.com: Loncky Custom Stitched OEM Alcantara Leather Steering Wheel Cover for Porsche 911 (997) 2009 2008 2007 2006 2005 / Boxster (987) 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 Cayman (987) 2006 2007 2008 2009 Accessories : Automotive

They have a video with basic instructions. The most important thing is lining everything up before you start the threading. And making sure you are going in the same direction and not looping around the steering wheel. And keeping some tension on the prior stitches as you go along so it stays nice and tight until you are ready to tie the finishing knots.

I guess if you get tired of it, it would be easy to just cut the thread and go back to your stock leather right?

15mm is a lot for the front of a 997. 12mm spacers put my tires right at the fender lip. My profile pic is old; those are 5mm spacers.

Default 997.2 C4S Spacers

I am doing the same dance with spacers and lug bolts. Mine is lowered about 1" on B16s. I found that 12mm front spacers put my side wall flush with the fender; just about perfect. I have two extra unopened pairs of Rennline 12mm spacers if you want to try a pair. I also have an extra set of 10 Acer titanium lug bolts for 10mm - 15 mm spacers.

I measured front and back and the 15mm would be perfect on my 997.2

do you have pictures of why 12mm should be max?

they deliver tomorrow so Monday I’ll put the 15mm on and find out I guess

on full turns and sloped ramps sometimes with 15mm fronts it will rub. Visually 12-15mm will look pretty much the same for the fronts.

I run 15mm fronts but on my brothers car - i told him to run 12mm fronts.

No, no pictures; it was a test fit. The car is on stands for winter projects. A buddy ran 15mm spacers on the front and rear of his 997.2 C2S. Front tires stuck out of the fenders and the rears were still a little tucked. It will take awhile for you to find your taste.

I'm still working on mine. I have 18mm spacers arriving soon for the rear.

I have 15MM Spacers all the way around on my 18” Carrera IV’s.

Pretty dang flush, plus 3MM is tiny. Grab a caliper and dial in 3MM, it’s a sliver.

BTW, super impressed with the spacers and lugs I got from Venum Wheel accessories. Found them on Amazon and visited Venum’s website, made in California and they shipped the same day.

Best part was each axle was $75 for spacers and extended OEM style lugs, so $150 for 4 spacers and 20 lugs.

Shipped the same day and they were delivered 2 days later.

I think if I could go back in time, I might just go 10mm all around rather than 15mm all around. I never rubbed with Eibachs and 15mm all around though AND I was on 305mm rear PS4S.

really dirty

really really clean

Got the other set of 15mm spacers on front.

I’d say it’s perfect for the drop I have and camber. Full lock turns don’t rub at all.

Nice! Yes i agree, 15mm on the front, and rear is ideal with the stock 19" wheels. I currently have the 7mm front and 15 mm rear and the front needs to be pushed out. But with my new HRE wheels they work perfect with 7mm spacers up front.

Front after and the next picture is before. 15mm is a great look. I think if the vehicle was not lowered then the 7-10 range would be perfect. I plan to lower another 1/4 to 1/2”

also is it just me or does this car run better after being detailed!! 😂
