And here are a few images from that special day...the red sky in the very early AM was from the smoke bellowing from the fires burning in the North Bay that had begun just a few hours earlier...
Those night photos of the C4S really make be wish the reflector on the rear deck illuminated too.
any photos of your car with the gts front bumper + lip?
Oddly enough, never did take any photos after install. just ran outside and snapped a couple for ya. dirty from daily duty, and not the best quality, but you get the idea

Had my PCM/Nav updated by my local Porsche dealer today. Cost was $375 with the PCA discount. Not cheap, but at least now I have all the latest "bells & whistles".

I replaced the Active Aero wing hydralics on the RUF 997 with Rennkit's Erams in order to achieve 1" additional wing lift vs the stock hydraulics and to not have to deal with future leaking of the cylinders which they all seem to do eventually.
Everything about the RUF rear decklid is non-standard so fitment, spacing, wiring, threads into the wing etc is more complex than it would be on a regular 997TT decklid, but turned out great.
Last weekend I removed my front bumper on my 997 Turbo and did a deep cleaning on my radiators and had to fight with the front hood to keep it from falling so I decided to change the gas springs out. I decided to try a set of gas springs from an unlikely source. I order from McMaster-Carr.com every day or so and my company buys and uses gas springs by the hundreds. I removed both springs and tested them against a bathroom scale and found they were 60Lb on one side and 30 LBs on the other. I figured the strong side probably lost a bit of pre-load so I ordered a pair of 70 Lb gas springs part # 9416K12 @ $13.17 each and 4 snap-on ball socket ends #9416K86 @$1.48 each to make the overall length of the assembly roughly what i measured on the OE springs. I popped them on and they work like new. the shafts on the McMaster springs are a bit smaller in diameter than OE but since they are in compression and are offered all the way up to 80Lbs I don't see a problem. here are the links to the pages . https://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/123/1263/=19xyeqo and https://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/123/1262/=19xy673
Not sure what the dealerships get but a gas spring is a gas spring and the new parts cost $38.50 including shipping and they got to me the day after i ordered them.. I love this company
Yup, that was one of the first places I looked too but the 2 struts were $42 without shipping. Since just these parts alone don't qualify for the free shipping ($49 minimum order) the shipping options they quote are anywhere from $10 for UPS ground to $37 for next day delivery so I actually saved over $40 for the parts. Since i order daily from McMaster anyway it was a convenience to go that rout. Also since the ends screw off they are a one time purchase and I can use them again if I need to change the springs out.
