I moved my CD slot phone mount over to the center console side panel and hid the wiring inside. Once the side panel was off it was pretty easy to do…I actually had leftover clips from an Austin Healey restoration that worked great.

(a) looks good but (b) you might want to look into the rennline mount - much less of a profile behind the mounting plate, you just have to remove the side panel and stick it on the back. Such a great mount and I love how you ran the wiring behind that trim piece. Mine comes out of the back of the cubby b/c that's how my audio guy ran it...should have him redo it like yours.
@Perdido Do you have more pics on your mount setup? I'm looking for something similar that isn't magnetic based. That looks perfect but unsure if it would impact a manual car.
MR Turco,
I have a mount in another car that has a greater offset and it works great for a manual. You can also move the mount vertically to suit your needs before you clip it in and the clips I used are slip on auto upholstery clips. I like restoring old cars and piddling with newer ones when I get a chance, so this was right up my alley.

As someone who lives in Ohio and just got a 2008 C4S and plans on driving it a couple of times a week as my daily (as soon as I can find an economical winter wheel set)... you are my hero! I love seeing posts like this since I bought mine to drive it regularly.

Drive them! I have autosocks for the bad weather here when chains required. Also got a Range Rover so the 911 does take back stage if poor weather but still will take the 911 to the mountain or around during the winter.
Changed out my rusty crusty lug bolts for a set of titanium ones without the wheel locks. Now my eyes not drawn to the one thing that looked bad on the car.
Posted this in the pic thread a couple days ago but I don't think that thread gets much engagement. Took my 06 C2S to the mountains in AZ for a 600 mile road trip. Probably last trip I'll be able to make this year up to altitude with snow starting to come down.
Just to show another iPhone set up. Uses an aftermarket Amazon metal bracket. Then put a high strength magnet on there. The MagSafe adaptor easily attaches to the magnet. Holds the phone perfectly and charges.
Putting back up camera in the car. Normally wire hidden.
My new-to-me 997.1 C2S now has Ohlins DFV coilovers. So far, they're everything people say. Firm, controlled, less "crashy" than stock and maybe a bit more comfortable even.
Are you confident however that the 3M PPF is enough protection for those particular locations? (Those areas can take a beating.) The factory material seems significantly heavier in thickness...
I guess the 3M material would be much more easily removed if it looked like it wasn't offering sufficient protection.
The 3M stone paint protecting material is thinner, but from demos it appears to be pretty puncture proof. I guess I will find out!
