Picked up another set of rims, and I think I like collecting wheels as much as my wife likes collecting purses!

FVD is the best. Top notch. Not a lot of people have it

Dubber, tell me about the bypass, it is on sale now for $125 off until Dec 20. Plus John said I could pay half down and the rest in 6 weeks or so when fabrication is completed which eases the pain of spending more than a grand on something that doesn't show unless you bend way down. I was going to pull the trigger but then started having second thoughts like maybe I need new brakes more or maybe I should replace the water pump and thermostat or maybe it will make the car too loud and the wife will complain. Help me out here , is this purchase worthy?

If it's your only car, maybe.
If you are doing it with another option available....why?

I don't take my pickup to the track, nor canyon carve with it...and I don't strap an Xmas tree to the roof of my 911.
There is a great article today about how the son of Hans Mezger got his dad's car up and running again. The article mentions: "The Mezger family used to drive to Zell am See every summer. The trip there in the 911, complete with its roof rack, was always the highlight of the holiday..."

If a roof rack on his 911 and it's uses was good enough for him, it's definitely good enough for me.

I'm happy with my purchase. Much louder and substantially cheaper then any comparable option. Also did the swap myself and i am by no means a mechanic lol...

Agree. To each their own. I couldn’t care less what you do with your car. Means nothing to me.

Got my car back from the shop doing some preventative work.

New starter
New starter cable
New fuel injectors
New engine mounts
Switched over to winter tires

Car feels like it gained 20 HP. Starts hot, cold, warm... all the time now with no hesitation. MPG much improved and car is way more responsive and feels like there is a second sport button.

Oh and bought a Christmas Tree.

Interesting opinion.
You obviously care enough to read a forum about what people "do with their own car", so perhaps it does "mean" something to you.

I do totally agree with "To each their own."
And "my own" doesn't endorse hauling cargo on top of a 911.
Why not put a snow plow on it? Hans Mezger's family might have.
TIC, gents, TIC.

Haha. Have a good day.

Hope to see more personal and fun use of their 911s from everyone.

To put this back on track I’m trying to scour parts for my updated wheel:

[QUOTE=kellen;17833665]Haha. Passe une bonne journée.

J'espère voir une utilisation plus personnelle et amusante de leurs 911 de la part de tout le monde.

Pour remettre cette question sur la bonne voie , je suis en train de affouillement pièces pour ma roue mise à jour:

I think it's a shame not to be able to use the small control wheel for the sport mode

hey man! I actually got a slight upgrade with the function first ones. I didn’t want to make the ride too harsh.
