What did you do to your 997 today?
I figured the new PCM won’t have CarPlay which I wanted. As for the Numeric, believe me, I’m as novice as they come. Took me 2 hours doing everything carefully, watching the YouTube videos and labeling bags for all the screws. It wasn’t bad. Most painstaking part was removing the console. Now that I’ve done it, will be easier when I buy a new leather covered console soon. I can’t stand all the scratches and marks on this cheap looking plasticky crap they put in our cars.
Ok you have convinced me! I will try myself. I want to replace the console and top of the storage bin as well. Not sure how "full leather" doesn't include that! But need to get shifter done first.

leather console is pricey. If you just want a black with grey stitching leather armrest let me know. Just had mine done for $200 but the new console will come with it already done so I will be selling mine.

"Lowered our shop C2S on Eibach springs. A little torn. One one hand, the gap is reasonable and the car is leveled properly. Stock gap was 3-3.5 fingers while Eibach is 1.75 fingers all around. On the other hand, not quite as low as we thought it would be."
I had Eibach springs installed on my 997.2 because I was warned that H & R sport springs would lower the car too much. The same thing happened, I was a little disappointed that the drop was barely noticeable. I believe the guys at the shop noticed the disappointment because they told me that it would lower a bit as it settled. (I got used to it, but still wish it was a bit lower.)
Sunrise and ready to roll, new rims..

Bilstein B16 coilovers with plenty of room to go both directions (also spacers front and rear)

My 997.1 C2 didn't come with TPMS, so I installed an aftermarket option from Tymate, bought on Amazon. Tried a similar product a year ago, but couldn't get the sensors to sync. This one is working better though - fits unobtrusively in the dash corner, charges via solar (no wires), and reported pressure seems to match my gauge, although it only reports whole PSI, no decimal. The temp. reading obviously doesn't reflect the actual rubber temperature since it's incorporated in the valve stem sensor - quick check shows it's about 20° lower (75°F day, tires reading 95°after warmup, but IR thermometer in the middle of the tread read ~115°). Biggest downside is the sensor is bulky/ugly on the tire itself, but nice to have the peace of mind.

One of the best features of the 05 cars is that they didn't come with TPMS sensors where the batteries die or report false low pressure warnings. For those sensors to work are they actually housing in the valve to read pressure or somehow tracking tiee revolutions? If the former, seems like a good opportunity for leaks.
