I just read through this whole thread, wow. Makes me want to turn off the computer and go give my car some love.

Late to the party as I did this a little while ago, but did some major maintenance and really got intimate with my 997.1 Launch Ed. C2S:
Plugs
Air Filter
Injectors
IMS Pro Retrofit
RMS
Intake Clean
Alternator Harness
Chain Tensioners x3
Vent hoses
Thermostat 73deg
Serpentine Belt
Coolant
Transmission fluid
Power steering fluid

Still suffering from a dead cat that rattles around, planning on taking the rear bumper off and fixing it all with new exhaust gaskets in a few weeks.

Impressive...I'm at the level that I'm happy if I don't spill gas all over myself while filling up the car...

Also, today I did a sunrise run down Lime Creek Dr. east of Austin for the first time. Will be returning in the future.

Replacing my nasty, peeling, sticky climate buttons today and did the rennline wireless charging phone mount while I was at it. This chap has a helpful how to on doing the climate buttons:

Well worth the $70 or whatever it was from ClimaRepair. It was definitely the standout eyesore in the interior.

Next up: exloring numeric short shifter and cables. My indy wants me to drop by and test his cayman that has the numeric shifter and cables to make sure I want it. Not sure what that's about other than perhaps the noise.

Looking over options to fix pencil tip size pits in my hood, of all places. Ordering a Griot's clay bar to see if I can get rid of a bunch of deep water spots on my otherwise mirror finish, along with some leather conditioning spray. Put a few more hundred miles chasing the fall colors in northern Michigan, returned yesterday.

Sounds like you are proceeding in the same order as I did! Climate buttons (Amazon) and Rennlist mount done last month. Numeric a few weeks ago (LOVE it!), haven't done cables or cable ends as of yet, mechanic will have to do that for me. About 10 minutes ago I received my Function First engine mounts, so might attempt that today. I also put in a new Alpine headunit, backup cam and Sirius module. And I've only had the car about a month

Installed the function first engine mounts. Definitely pulled up the exhaust tips closer to the bumper indicating this needed to be done.

Awesome. How hard did you find doing the shifter yourself Awesome? I'm not much of a mechanic but can follow YouTube videos I have an appointment with my local car audio shop for an eval/quote but I can't decide whether to upgrade the head unit or wait for the updated PCM+ supposedly coming in 2022.

I figured the new PCM won’t have CarPlay which I wanted. As for the Numeric, believe me, I’m as novice as they come. Took me 2 hours doing everything carefully, watching the YouTube videos and labeling bags for all the screws. It wasn’t bad. Most painstaking part was removing the console. Now that I’ve done it, will be easier when I buy a new leather covered console soon. I can’t stand all the scratches and marks on this cheap looking plasticky crap they put in our cars.

Details on new headunit? I just did a bt conversion on mine to preserve the PCM 2.1 as I couldn't find a head unit I loved.

I had an alpine head unit, back up cam and Sirius module installed by a local guy. Love it. It was $1500 so it wasn’t cheap. Most expensive part was the Bose MOST adapter thing. Works great and looks good in the car. Sort of stock looking.
