What did you do to your 997 today?

Replaced battery.
The manufacture date of the old one was 2008! However, I've always used a battery tender and never had any starting issues. Bought an H7 Duracell branded battery from Batteries + Bulbs for $129. Placed the order online for local pickup and saved another 10%. This H7 was slightly longer than the original and had to use the last hole in the battery tray. Had to dig up a new bolt and nut for the battery holder flange, but still fits perfectly.

Took her for a nice drive and then gave her a bath before she went back in the garage to wait out the next snow storm later this week.

The 997 needed a good wash and detailing after returning from driving Twisted Sisters (RR355, RR356, RR357) along with a buddy in his C4S in Texas the Hill Country. Removed and polished the exhaust tips, too. Highly recommend doing this drive in you live anywhere in Texas! It was worth the 5 hour "commute" from DFW area.

your rears are flush as is, as for your fronts... imo they only need 3mm to be FLUSH - in fact i wouldn't even bother. i don't think you would notice the 3mm visually and if your car is lowered, i'd prefer the extra bit of clearance.
if there is a suggestion re your badging (and just a suggestion), it needs to be slightly lower. the bottom of the PORSCHE badging should be aligned with the bottom of the reverse-signal that is in the middle of the taillight. that's how the oem badging is done... I'm only saying this is because your car is beautiful and too nice to have things that are a little 'off' here and there. just my 2 cents!
you did do a killed job on aligning it properly straight (and not frowning down which is a common problem I've seen).

After owning my C4S for two months, I finally had a chance to remove some of the clear coat scratches! Someone must have really used the wrong rag or a clay bar made of 50% sand! The scratches are suspiciously all along the upper edges so it may have also been an auto wash...
Fortunately, they superficial and are cleaning up well but only halfway done.
Here's the type of scratches I'm dealing with.

Replaced my battery without the radio and nav codes. Batteries Plus online recommended the H6 battery. But several other sites said H7 and it had an H7 already. After all of the agonizing, I just went to Wal-Mart and bought their H7 Maxx Start for $150. Interesting exercise, though. I found the H7 went in with room to spare; the hold-down clamp has another hole about an inch to the right.
About the radio and nav codes. My trickle charger will not charge a battery with less than 2 amps, so I figured even with it in the lighter, it would shut down if I removed the battery. So, I used clamps to attach my regular charger to the cable end clamps and was careful to remove the battery without knocking them loose. Managed to do that so the new battery went in without having to reprogram everything.
Now, I just have to go back to Wal-Mart for the $10 core. Yeah, I hate Wal-Mart, so that might be a little while.

Mounted Nitto NT01s to my E88s with the help of a friend. I'll install them tomorrow and post a story to my build thread.
