I recently purchased this 2012 997.2. The first week it lived in my garage and I did a full paint correction detail on the car.
Next, I cleaned and treated the entire leather interior. Smells and feels brand new.
Installed new lug nuts on all of the wheels. The old lug nuts looked pretty bad.
Installed a bluetooth toggle to be able to stream music.
Installed a removable front license plate bracket. It sure makes washing the car easier.
Purchased all of the necessary tools and parts to do an oil change. Really easy to do and saved hundreds of dollars. I wish this car had a dipstick. The oil level sensor is aggravating.
Next up, I will take it to an independent for a 40k service.

Had the body shop repaint the bottom of the front air dam and replace the scuffed up spoiler lip and bumper ends. Damage was my bad for driving over too steep a curb. Now, just wait a month for the paint to cure and have the XPEL Clear Bra installed from the windshield forward.

OK, yeah I know it's a little ****, but it wasn't that expensive, and the scuffs came up to where the PPF will be, so I just made it right for the beginning. It looks great under there.

BIG SHOUT OUT to Suncoast Parts for prompt shipment initially, and then quickly, without a charge or delay, correcting a shipping error. They even shipped the correct part 2 day air to make it in time for the body shop work.

What is a smart remote? I have a 997 cab, too.

I see, now. Smart Top allows you to raise the roof while driving from a remote control on your key fob. Interesting, but my 997 allows me to raise the roof to 30 MPH already. That's fast enough for me to deploy that big, black canvas parachute.

Added 3M Crystalline 70 tint to windows. Love it, did this more to protect the interior from UV and IR light then the looks of dark windows. Since my car sits outside a lot, I wanted to give interior a little extra protection. It's only April and I can tell a big difference with the intensity of the sun coming through the new tint.

Busy today. Installed red tail lights, which I love. Installed a new GT3 lip to replace the old beaten up one, and finally replaced the broken cup holder assembly.

Those look like wevo or Rennline mounts rather than RSS ones. Like the bright blue though. What brand and color is that?

You learn something new everyday. I know they're Rennline but I thought RSS was short for Rennline Semi Solid.

Wrap is KPMF Matte Iced Blue Titanium.

RSS is short for Road Sport Supply. Rennline is s different company - both are solid companies with great products.

Today I installed my blacked out stock exhaust tips. They were media blasted to rough them up and powder coated gloss black to match my gloss black wheels. Next up is blacking out my rear emblem.
