Dropped my '10 C4S cab off at Oakes Detail today... thorough detail, full paint correction, fill in of various stone chips in hood, full front & hood XPEL, interior leather conditioning, summer wheel/tire dressing and mounting, cleanup of winter/wheel tires, and installation of P O R S C H E decal along lower door panels. Then will be delivered back to me in an enclosed trailer. Enjoyed meeting Nick from Oakes, very helpful, took time to answer my questions, clearly knows his stuff. The pictures they post of their work on McLarens, Porsches, Lambo etc. looks amazing, so I cannot wait till I get the car back. Hopefully we'll have true spring by then, none of this cold white crap all over the ground anymore....
I think I'm heading in the exact same direction for my paint.... I've got a ton of road rash from 4+ years of year-round DD'ing my C4S Cab that I wanna take care of and add some protection. I'd be interested to see what your guy has quoted you for this. I had an estimate done last Fall for touch up work as well as a full respray along with (I think) 3M film. Any chance you could share some details on what they're charging for this work? And did you shop it around, or just go with this (obviously) high-end shop? I have no desire to low-ball the job as I want it done once and done correctly, but I'd be interested if you saw a wide variety of pricing if you shopped it around.
Thanks for any help on this, and looking forward to seeing pics of your competed job so I can see what mine will look like when I finally pull the trigger on this

Today I did this with my 997.2 C4S Cab
I drove to a local Porsche dealer to have my locking lug bolts removed and replaced with standard lug bolts since the previous owner did not leave the key.
Then, I drove to the body shop to see about repairing underneath where I drove into too steep a driveway. Then I ordered the damaged parts from Suncoast Porsche. The body shop will install after they repaint the bottom of the bumper cover.
Next, with that out of the way, I am heading out to buy fresh fuel and put some miles on the car.
All in all, a lovely day, body damage aside.

Patiently finished my last meeting of the day hoping to get home in time for a quick spin before the rain.
No such luck...
However my kids (6 and 3) bought me a nice hat and a 50 years of 911 book for my bday which was an awesome surprise.
