The new 911 Carrera GTS

I would think twice about ordering your GTS without the extra leather appointments. My 911 came with full leather and the stitching on the edge of the dash creates a strong visual break that improves the lines quite a bit. That's the part of the interior that you'll be looking at the most so I'd say it's worth the extra cash.
In my MB (which I consider half sport/half luxury), I got every option available. On my 911's, I get the absolute minimum. When I get in them, its all about working the gears, listening to the engine, and enjoying the scenery. If someone snuck in and covered my dash in astroturf, it would probably take me a week to notice.
I sure don't get the "love for leather", but I'm glad Porsche has so many custom options so folks can get exactly what they like.

Thanks! My intention in posting the photos was not say this is the only way a 911 should be. However, I see a lot of disasters out there, and to my taste, tinted windows on these cars, and on a white in particular projects a certain image most would not like to be associated with, I think. But whatever.
Cogito... what a great name!

Let me try again to upload my white one.
File was too large.
I see next time I can make the pic larger for better detail.
I now use Macs where I used to use PCs.

Believe it or not, I think I'm tending to agree with you here. (someone write it down) I have seen a number of white car/black wheel combos with dark tint that did look good, but maybe not so much on the 911. I didn't tint my SY 997.1 either for that same reason.

See... no reason to disagree all the time. The point of a forum is to exchange POVs, which will not be shared for all. The only reason I read and post here is to benefit from an eclectic community of P-car owners with varied experiences. I urge all to focus on that and refrain from personality exchanges. We all feel strongly about what we think about these cars. I do.

SkankyFrank, beauty is, of course, in the eye of the beholder and I think the black lower rear bumper seems okay for contrast.... certainly glad it's not green..... lol

Looks like grey in that shot but black in this press shot. In fact...I don't think that's a sport classic as I assume they all have painted washer nozzles and the hood stripes.

That's a car that was supposed to have been fully converted to Sports Classic parts. If you're correct they may well have missed the headlight surrounds...
