I guess I assumed that the sport buckets had to be lower. Since my 996 had GT3 buckets and my 997.2 has the sport buckets, I had no recent standard for comparison. It is a fact, however, that at 6'2" there's been plenty of headroom with my helmet on in both cars. Shorter torso than you and gravedgr perhaps, and of course you are taller overall as well.

Hi Everyone,
Stopped by tonight to read the GTS posts. I l-o-v-e this car! Put my order in today for one; Cab (although I had a hard time deciding between the Coupe and the Cab), Carrera white, black center locking wheels, PDK, heated seats, not too much else. Now the wait begins. I should have it in January or February or March or .......

Think I'll have to get some very subtle flames airbrushed onto mine -- just to stand out a bit...

You folks like to fight here at rennlist.
gravedgr, I have rare white squirrels here in western NC and my vanity plate is "WHTESQRL" so I do hope you'll make an allowance for my white GTS. My current 2009 911 is white. Some cars look like refrigerators in white but the 911 looks beautiful in white. I promise NEVER to come to your traffic polluted city in my white GTS!

Don
Edgy/Dan, get a dictionary; it's spelled Carrera!

At least mine will end up outside the state of Georgia.

You're right about the white; somehow it just "clicks" on this car. The red calipers and taillights set it off nicely. Also, I think I have something figured out. This is only IMHO, but I think the white makes it easier to see the classic 911 shape, as the greenhouse is clearly delineated and (with the black trim) really stands out against the white.

Just a theory, of course...

Carrara white -- like the marble
Car·ra·ra: A city of northern Italy famous for the white marble quarried nearby that was favored by Michelangelo.

CARRERA: like the car or race
1 : run, running <a la carrera : at full speed> <de carrera : hastily>

Yes, the name of the color is Carrara White by Porsche. Leave it to Porsche to mess with names; Panamera instead of Panamericana which would have been 10x cool. Go figure

Looks awesome. What do you guys think of dark tint on a white car? Too "baller"?

I always think folks should do what looks good to them, but the dark tint doesn't do it for me. However, since you'll have your GTS towards the front of the queue, maybe you should be the test case?

Actually, you could be onto something; that whole black/white contrast thing might make it work...
