My vote would be no. I'm not a fan of the heavy tint look with any color.

Dark tint? Hell no! Not on a sports car... besides it would hide a gorgeous full natural leather interior.

Nah. I think it actually looks good.

I'd like tint, but honestly move the car in and out of so many tight parking spaces that any visibility I sacrifice feels like a poor trade-off.

I think those are called guinea pigs.

I agree though, I think the black/white contrast is striking and the reason I chose white.

If there's anything that doesn't fit a "sports car", its full leather interior.

Actually, you could be onto something; that whole black/white contrast thing might make it work...
Who will be the first to get black headlight bezels like on the Sport Classic? I think that would really complete the GTS.

Thanks brt for clearing up the white name spelling. My dealer had no idea. I thought maybe the marketing guys mispelled in once and they were sticking to it.

Who says that ?!? When sports cars came into the scene in the '50s and '60s all their interiors were leather - natural leather at that. Yes, full natural leather is a perfect fit to a sports car - but it's expensive, of course. OTOH, alcantara is a cheap substitute that wears terribly.

Heh, the tint's relatively easy to take off, if you decide you don't like it. You're only out the money. Our GT3 RS had tint on it when Nugget bought it, and we both hated the tint. The dealer took it off easily. Not a bad guinea pig to be, IMO.

Me, of course. You gave your opinion, I gave mine. Both are equally valid, and equally irrelevant.

I like it, have it on my silver 997 and our white AV.

I bet every one of us -- when we first heard the name of this color -- assumed the spelling of the color was the same as that of the car/race. Only when I started speccing out my order did I realize this was NOT the case.

Porsche, at least, is not as bad as some manufacturers. Who do they hire to name some of these colors, like "Pale Arctic Frost" instead of W-H-I-T-E ?!?

I don't remember that detail; anyone have photos?

Geez, now I remember. You can barely see the print in spots of my issue of Excellence with the Sport Classic, yet I forgot that detail.

Question: is that black on the bezels, or a dark gray metallic?

What would you consider a more sporty and appropriate alternative. Vinyl? Cloth? A test tube synthetic leather like alcantera? I'm not one who thinks leather air vents and speaker grills are worth the money, but leather seats, door panels, dash, etc. are very much in the sports car tradition, look good, smell good, and last forever if reasonably cared for.

TEHO, of course, but unless you're planning to be really sporty and strip the inside to look like a race car, or make everything out of CF, you need something to cover the interior surfaces. IMO, leather is better looking, more durable, and more practical than just about anything else.

Imagine this in alcantara... especially after a few months of heavy use.
