The new 911 Carrera GTS
Here's the official video for the new Carrera GTS, looks like a cool way to salute the 997 goodbye.

From whats said on the website, its a better value than the 997S. It comes standard with sport exhaust, centerlock spyder wheels, alacantara trim, power package, and wider track for only 10 grand more. Maybe the pdk is a no cost option as well, in which case clearly the better choice.

Hell yeah I would! The 2wd with wider hips is the killer app here - the other "fluff" is nice too.

Looks like a nice iteration. I've always thought the ideal N/A 911 would have 400+ hp.
I would seriously consider trading my 09 S Cab for one of these......but then I'm a sucker for Porsche's marketing!

It sure does sound and look nice! The only thing is I hope they give the buyer the option to not have the centerlock wheels, maybe a delete option? What a pain that would be for dual use street / track guys constantly swapping pads and wheels / tires. This does look like the ultimate in-between car like what Mike and I have...
It says PASM, but from the look it must be SPASM. They don't appear to mention LSD, but I'm guessing it's in there.
A GTS with Sport Buckets would be very nice...

Taken from the Autoblog:
"If the body work looks familiar, that's because it's cribbed from the all-wheel drive Carrera 4 – a trick Porsche has pulled off several times in the past. Nestled between that 44mm wider track is an upgraded 3.8-liter flat-six putting out 408 horsepower (23 more than the standard S, 27 less than the GT3) and 310 pound-feet of torque, now peaking at 4,200 rpm – 200 rpm earlier than in the S."
How is the wider track done? Are the rear hips actually wider by 44mm? That's a lot.
