Is this a realistic price for a low mileage, but otherwise standard optioned tt coupe? https://www.ebay.com/itm/2002-Porsch...25.m3641.l6368

I think the wheels and the blue interior will bring it down, even with the mileage adjustment.

I personally like the blue leather - definitely more than the light grey. The wheels aren't great and I don't like the wood accents.

I like the blue and wood trim. Wheels are easily changed, and you can probably get decent money for them. The question is always, someone with that dubious taste in wheels, did he mess up the car some other way? All things considered, I think that's a $45k car.

I too like the interior. I do not see how the wheel choice is an indicator of anything other than the wheel choice. With that low mileage and the 6 speed it is worth a bit more than $45k. If I was in the market and the history was clean I would pay $50k and be very happy.

I think that's the only time I've seen a wood trim interior look good in a 996. I'd say that with those miles and a clean Carfax, it could be worth close to $50k.

Car is local to me, dealer is reputable, though not necessarily known for great prices on used sports cars. They are also the local McLaren dealership.. Happy to do a quick 'renncheck' on it if anyone was seriously interested.

Price-wise, I don't think $52K is too ridiculous as an asking price if it is in super nice condition without any signs of deferred maintenance.... Like others have said, I'd definitely target under $50K as an actual transaction price.

Chrome Victor wheels are a bit ugly, but easy to change, budget $1K plus a bit for stock hollow twists. Gearshift and e-brake wood look o.k., easy enough to change the wood-trim horseshoe.

Here's a link to the dealers page for the car:

Picked up this '01 well optioned w/boxster full leather and black alcantara headliner (common or no?), full carbon (I need to rework a few pieces), couple kinks to work out, 86k miles for 32,750 + ship. Comes with these Advans, and stock turbos. PO is a member here and very helpful and open about the car (still is as I make it mine). The car is loud, low, stiff, and fast. Just how I would have made a stock one eventually. Super stoked to have this car. Already threw on a set of blizzaks on some other wheels I had. I bought it to drive it..

agreed, metropole blue interior isn't bad at all, and is pretty easy to live with. Only downside is very limited availability of second hand interior bits. I don't like wood trim anywhere in our interiors, but it's not horrible in this car. Wheels are a no brainer to swap out. Could be a great car with low miles and a clean bill of health.

Did the dog come with the car?

For some reason, and I hate to say this. The wood actually looks good with the blue interior.

Funny, I had the same thought about the blue/wood -- the combo actually works, somehow.

moburki: Full leather and Alcantara headliner was standard on the Turbos (if that's what you were asking). Full Boxster Red is probably pretty rare, though.

Your car is almost as cool as the dog, but I'm partial...

All of you wood snobs, can you tell me which combo you think it does not work? I think it's gorgeous pretty much every time. Obviously it would be silly on a GT3RS, but on Turbo it looks great.
