Hey TT, not sure but as you know I have been away from PCars at times but always hit these boards. The fun and people make it. Every other board I got involved with was 1/2 of the crew here.

I wonder if it would be a better strategy to buy into a garage queen and then plan on selling it before you reach 75K miles?

Currently, I'm looking at 2: The first is the one I previously posted on from Colorado with 25K miles. The second is more local to me: https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/invent...ting=184281020

What are your opinions on these two?
I also think it depends on what you want the car for and
if you absolutely love it, or if it’s more of a stepping stone.
These engines are really strong and have been known
to last a really long time, and if you love it then the little
short term sell gains you get will be easily reversed by
either future market fluctuations or enjoyment.

I for one LOVE my 996TT it’s got nearly 160k miles and
because it was over 125k when I bought it, I got it for a great
deal. I’ve driven newer versions and I actually like the 996
better. To me it’s more mechanical feeling then newer models.
People often malign the interior, but honestly I think the interior
on the 996 is better than the 997 gen. I also actually enjoy it
more now that I have the GT4 for comparison. It’s such a
fun and useable car that I’d like a 996TT Cab for the summer,
but im out of garage space :/

what does everyone think is going rate for a 2002 6 speed Turbo Silver/Metropol with factory Aero kit. No x50. 38k miles with service history.

I have an idea in my head but want to validate that.

Polar. Thanks. I may have an opportunity to pick this up at the Arctic silver price.

I need to look up the difference. Polar looks bluer?

Yes, Polar is bluer and generally more desirable. $48k is a good price.

That's bullshyte. Makes me want to go into one of the GT3 flippers ads and cuss them out just for the sake of being banned.

Try a diesel cayenne seller. Apparently they are sacrosanct. But I may just be a bitter person...

I saw a dealer post a few at 10% off and he got trashed because 10% was such a bad discount on them. I think they quickly moved to 20% off.

They're a good buy though, esp with the warranty they're offering.

There were also a number of people banned for having the temerity to say it may not have been the most generous deal ever offered. Coupled with a lot of disappearing prose. No idea why the OP was put on hiatus, but that is something that appears to be particularly sensitive and as such is a possible explanation. Can’t upset those ad dollars.

Now back to cheap turbos...

Polar definitely has a very light blueish hue, but also changes color dramatically depending on the light... I actually like Arctic Silver better, but Polar is definitely less common (because when they were ordered, more people liked Arctic!)

My 2004 Polar Silver C2:

awesome, thanks. I kind of like the blueish tint to it. Certainly that's why it was paired with the metropol blue.
