Under the motor. I think I know where it's coming from, I think the o-ring on the coolant pipe down there is bad. I'll dig into it later and confirm.

Wraps would be alot more interesting if they could be done without the razor blades scratching/etching the paint when theyre put on. Id have no issues bringing my dc2 integra to get resprayed @ maaco but I don't want to bring this car to a budget paint place lol
proper shops should not be scratching the paint, or better yet, using knifeless tape to install.

Also, all the vents and hard curves on these cars make them hard to wrap (even for a pro) and it never looks truly good.

Damn that's expensive for a consumable part.

Yep, the few ive seen pictures of didnt look all that good and I could tell from the medium res smart phone photos.

I didn't think passing on a clean sub 100k miles car was worth waiting for an off color.

oh and @2fcknfst acording to the catalogged data from the spreadsheet, seal gray cars make up about 17% of the total 996TTs in North America. Artic Silver is 27%

Ohhhh, yeah; to me, more of a show car part versus a daily.

Exactly. Stands up perfectly to daily microfiber dusting.

The stripes I did were a challenge. I think wrapping an entire panel would get the razor blades used elsewhere. Nightmare.

Didn't get the turbo out of the shop.

Maybe next week the weather will improve.

I have driven my buddy's 996 4S with 18s, and mine with 19s, and I can't tell any difference in comfort. Perhaps on majorly rough roads it would be apparent back to back; but I'm running the stock 997 turbo wheels and tires on the 996, on Pilot sport 4s's and have been happy... Just fwiw

Speaking of tires; I noticed my rears are significantly worn compared to my fronts. Not quite ready for replacement and I don't drive that much but at what point is the outer diameter delta a concern for the front diff? The fronts look nearly new, deep tread.

Nope - rears will always wear faster. I see you're running the 510s, I would be curious to know what you think about them on the turbo.

They are pretty good for the money but I don't have much of a comparison point. They are quite in a turn and seemed to understeer pretty linearly the one time I took an underpass U-turn over the limit. I will probably buy another set of rears when the time comes. I did not know they were made in Japan. I figured they were a Korean tire or something.

I have a set of them on my STi - they are, as you said, decent for the money. They're really decent in the rain, and quiet - definitely not as sticky as their 615s or 660s.
