I think nearly 100% of 2001 Turbos left the factory with those speaker box screws loose. They were loose on my 2001 and every 2001 I looked at before I bought my. I have heard from guys with 2001 Boxsters that those screws are loose on most their cars too. Too funny.

I am sure many owners brought them back to the dealer to be fixed under warrant. Lucky you, taking those door panels off is another pain in the nuts. LOL.

Thanks Twins! She's still on the lift in the midst of the 30K service, so could not bring her home for the weekend. But she's bought and paid for! I was actually happy about this, because I was able to inspect the undercarriage myself and give a once-over with one of the techs. CLEAN! (So I have a nice new Cayenne until it's done.) Oh, yeah, and I found a RUF shifter underneath that nobody told me was there. How sweet is that!

In the Porsche spa for the weekend.

I had done yesterday: changed coolant to water wetter, installed PFC 08/11s and racing brake fluid.
Next week hopefully new coil packs and plugs, via 993GT (Rob).

I drove. Everywhere. Anytime the opportunity presented itself.

For a nightcap I watched this slice of amazingness:

Attempted to replace the clutch accumulator. No luck. Can't get the old one loosened/removed. Car still up on jackstands. Will try again sometime this week.

Way too much repair work for me this weekend.

Replaced bad regulator on Friday afternoon.

Did an oil change and some engine cosmoline removal Saturday afternoon.

Washed it this morning and noticed the rear spoiler was sagging on the driver's side.

Picked up Lucas stop leak and just did some hydraulic fluid replacing and bleeding. While doing that one of the damn micro switched popped out and it took some fiddling to get back in and reacting correctly.

Hopefully the spoiler hydraulics will last until DaveCarrera4's electric replacement is perfected.

I have had enough.

I tried the strap wrench and it didn't work for me. So then I did this: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-turb...l#post11306506

Thanks, cbracerx! I thought about grinding the wrench (22mm), but I don't have a proper grinder! I even tried bending the wrench before I cut it and I couldn't get it to bend. Called the dealer and they charge about $300 for replacing it (just labor). It sucks because I am right there and I can't get it replaced.

I didn't use anything special just a 4" hand grinder and a cheap wrench from Lowes to sacrifice. Once I got it to fit the accumulator broke loose.

Thanks, MDKK. 30K. In fact they are doing that service tomorrow so I can pick her up Tues. One dealership has done all maintenance since new. Peace of mind.
