I decided to keep it! Best mod ever! :-)

Seriously had a PPI set up for a sale today and I cancelled it. I felt bad but I just can't bring myself to part with it. I really want a non-turbo C2 997 or 997, but will wait til I can afford to get one and keep my 996.

next up coolant pipes!

That's old fashion for a reason; opening the front hood, removing the battery compartment cover (assuming you keep it installed), and attaching two clamp connectors, is way more work intensive (old fashion?) than just plugging into the cigarette lighter.

Ya it's not that inconvenient for me plus you don't have to clamp onto the battery.
It's hard wired to the battery and you just have to plug and unplug a connector. Come on is that really an inconvenience??? Or does every person on the planet that owns a porsche have cigarette lighter charge-o-mat.
Plus I drive It quite a bit so don't really even maintain that often. It doesn't sit in the garage all winter.
It's a 15 year old 996 not a 918

Actually I have decided to sell the car so I don't have to open the hood.

Doesn't that make you keep the window down a bit?

So vacuuming out the front radiators is not old fashioned or painful compared to installing mesh screens but hooking up a battery tender directly to the battery is old fashioned and too labor intensive?

Trolling addict?
