Nice.
IPD is way too expensive for not adding any power at all. So I wouldn't be too excited to buy one.

I dunno about that, though their white paper claims of added HP do stretch the limits of credulity and I argued against them being "accurate" after I installed it. I do however recall it distinctly *feeling* as if there was more mid-range TQ. I do have a fairly decent memory so it is possible that I'm merely remembering what I told myself at the time, to justify the 800+ bucks I spent on it. Yeah, that's it!

I also recall at the time of its release, it being the subject of massive debates here and on some other forums with a roughly 50/50 pro Vs con %'s. I mean, they were not as lively as oil and tire and spark plug threads! but ya know. Lively nonetheless. I like my IPD plenum though, just fine.

plug in a fan to move some of the air while you are working outside... it helps a lot...

last summer we did an engine swap on my buddy's RX350 outside all summer... without a canopy and a fan, we probably would have passed out...

powdrhound has shown they make no difference at all until over 800rwhp or something nuts like that. So, yeah, a really expensive part that does nothing for the vast majority of us.

Yeah, like I said it's a worthy topic of debate as shown since their introduction, and there seemingly isn't one inarguable consensus on whether or not they do anything at all by end users. They are still selling IPD plenums for a grand to 991/992 Turbo's so presumably, everyone cannot be "wrong"?

Here is from IPD's site suggesting exactly what I noticed back in the day. These days I notice very little in subtle changes so would I buy one again? I dunno.

"The efficiencies of the Plenum dramatically reduce initial turbo lag down low helping access the power and torque sooner".

^ That was always and still is my *ss dyno take on the IPD plenum that mid range TQ is increased by a "bit". Or at least that's what it feels like to me. Ymmv!

You're way closer than Paul, plus, I can just throw the car in a trailer...

The only thing I have been hating on about I5 in recent years, is this light rail upgrade that never seems to end and that it now takes two hours (in best case scenario) to drive from Sea Tac to Everett... so there is no quick trip down and back.

That being said, the beer makes it worth it.

I avoid I-5 as much as possible, it is a nightmare.

But seriously, if you ever need a hand on something, you know how to get in touch with me and happy to help out if it is needed.

I hear ya……..hence I work early mornings on it and as others suggested get a big *** fan. I picked up a nice shop fan from harbor freight and I can now work in the garage. Next time I get a mini split in the garage!

Took the car by Safelite to show them the distortion. They are ordering another windshield and the surrounding metal trim piece that is super flimsy to ship. They suggested someone other than the last technician could replace it. No thanks. The first guy has already done it, why tempt fate?

I prefer scantily clad bikini models waving large banana leaves.

Went for an early AM blast before the blast furnace heat set in. Pushing 110 nearby.
