What did you do to your 996TT today?

i pushed the button to raise my spoiler today and the button got loose and recessed into the dash a bit so i guess for now I will be relying on it to work on it's own until i get that fixed lol

Do you normally raise and lower it manually (when you're not washing the car?)

We hear of this from time to time. The button may also affect the up/down automatic cycle as well.

I used my 955TTS to bring my nice 996TT to winter hibernation.

I had one of those. Until it started to burn a quart of oil every 500 miles. Now have a Cayenne Diesel, which isn't nearly as powerful but also doesn't burn any appreciable oil in 5000 miles, so that's a plus

My 955tt never burned any measurable oil but the constant warning buzzers for little electrical issues were driving me crazy. As soon as I fixed one issue another one would pop up. Too bad cause I really liked that car besides that.

The combo of price and utility was right for me at this time. I would have rather had a Touareg Diesel except back in August, when I bought this wagon, they were seriously overpriced.
I do understand the old German car syndrome. This is actually the newest car I have. The other six old German cars are even older, and the old Japanese car is the oldest by far.

Advanced
Just out of curiosity, did you have any challenges loading the 996 TT onto the car hauler from a height clearance/ramp angle perspective??
I'm looking to do the same car haul trip from Calgary to Vancouver Island next spring and I would appreciate any tips you may be able to provide.
