here is a different idea. I’m trying to buy a set of ruf 18 inch wheels. The wheels will fit both my 99 and the 03 turbo. I’m thinking about putting my original 408 turbo hollows 7.5 inch fronts and 9 inch rears on the turbo.those are the lightest 18 inch wheels porsche ever put from the factory on a car. I’m running 225 on the fronts and 285 on the rears, not sure if I can run the 295 on the rears. Power to weight ratio.

Greetings from Texas! Recently purchased a 2005 Turbo S Cab, sight unseen, from a guy in Arizona. Long story short, the gamble paid off because this car is EPIC.... so far. The true test will be what it looks like when I pull back the curtain. So in this video I'm finally getting the car up in the air (sorta and not without complications due to the lowered suspension) and taking a look at the power unit, suspension and flushing the fluids. This is from a candid perspective where you're looking at the underside, along with me, for the first time. Who knows what I could have found?! Luckily nothing scary, but check out what I DID find. Enjoy.

Installing FEAL 441 coil-overs and I will see if my shop can align it to GT2 specs!

Also, I found some used numeric racing cables and I'm installing those as well. Still waiting for the numeric shifter though so it'll be interesting to see how the cables interact with the standard shifter

You’re going to love that shifter. It came installed on my TT and it’s glorious. It’s like a bolt action rifle.
The previous owner spec'd out the suspension for GT2 “canyon carver mode”. Way too stiff for my liking but if you’re interested in seeing the set up, I revealed it in my latest video on my channel. RSS, tie rods, H&R adjustable sway bars, ohlins, etc. pretty wild.

Brought the rocket engine home... will get to work getting it and the Motec in the car next week. Chris and Johnny at CTS really knocked it out of the park. Now I have to do my part and get it all in the car.

For someone who cannot do this job, what would be a reasonable price:

Disassembly of both front suspension and replace top shock bearings/mounts and anything else that is worn.

Gt2 spec alignment.

Cheers,

Cheers,
I was quoted $350 plus parts 2 years ago when I asked my alignment shop for the price to do 997 shock bearings and an x73 alignment.

No worries dude, was kinda short notice or at least it snuck up on me for how soon the time came. Good to see your car coming along nicely, airbox and all the other updates are looking really good. Hope we can all get to Miller or something, but I don't want to count my chickens yet, I've got a lot of work to do still!

I should make a build thread of my own I suppose rather than updates in here haha
