Took car out after 5 months of hibernation. After driving a big SUV for so long, this was a fun change..

Doh!
I think you'd be surprised at what can be repaired. I have no recommendations for your area, but find a good interior shop and see what they have to say.

Thanks Darrick; it never seems to fail me, if I can wreck something fragile, I will.

On a more positive note, the subject child of the amber alert was located healthy and safe.

Black wheels look very good against the yellow of the calipers.

Yeah, I cringed super hard @2fcknfst when you sent me that photo :/ you could try to take it to an auto upholstery shop and they can hopefully straighten that crinkle and re-glue it to the base.

I emailed Frank too - it would appear to be damaged on the main body of the console, and the piece that holds the window lift switches...

When you're going to wreck something, wreck it big.

Going forward, have you thought about paying a shop to work on your car?

Yes, yes I have.

I have also thought about leaving my phone somewhere where I cannot hear it so that it doesn't startle me when I'm doing something fidgety.

I would hope that a capable leatherworker would be able to repair that. They can do amazing work.
