I just did 964rs engine and 997 trans mount on my car. I am a newb and made a rookie mistake doing the trans mount. The location I used to support the transmission made it so I could not remove the carrier mount once it was all unfastened. Had to reinstall, re-strategize position of jack so it did not obstruct the carrier and all was good after that. Fool me once..Just a heads up for you.

I also did the 964RS mounts. At idle you can definitely feel a bit of NVH that you don't with the stock mounts. The biggest bummer is that you can't really lower the motor on these mounts like on the stock ones as the 964 mounts are held in with nut and bolt vs stud and nut...

I cleaned the front wheel wells in prep for some suspension updates. Amazing how good it looks after washing off 180k miles of brake dust.

Next couple of days I will replace the alternator brushes and voltage regulator, replace coolant tank, and finally replace transmission mount with upgraded 997 mount.

Whew!

Pretty sure when I last checked on the consortium of parts required for this, they were all on indefinite back order....

Anyone get these parts?

I checked with Sonnen, they said 2-3 days out. The prices have come down to about $250 for the filler tube, guide tube, retaining clip and oil cap. I paid $170 3 years ago.

I believe this is correct for our cars. It is what I ordered for mine at least through suncoast parts https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/99737503303.html

….can’t we just run a longer bolt say M12 x 1.2 x 130-135mm? I believe the length of the bolt for our cars using this mount is M12 x 1.2 x 125 mm (900 082 118 09)

Yesterday was such a blast at the 1/2 mile airstrip takeover. I went up 10mph from last year to 161. Very pleased.
