The 964 mounts made a huge difference on my car in shifting smoothness and traction. Granted, they replaced a set of very worn OEM mounts.

Another great mid-winter mountain drive today! We had quite the collection of Turbos...
.
  • Two 991.2 Turbo S
  • Two 991.1 Turbo S
  • Two very nicely sorted 996 Turbos
  • A Ferrari F355 and C5 Z06 thrown in for good measure!
Awesome twisties, empty roads, big smiles.

So dry in your neck of the woods, great perspective on that pic.

I have 4 brand new OEM 996GT3RS Carbon/Kevlar hoods. Would be willing to sell 2 of them if anyone is interested. I also have 2 pairs of Manthey Racing 996 Carbon/Kelvar doors with the built in crash brace. Willing to sell both as I have no use for them. Quality is superb.

A valid point.

Carbon body parts are more likely a 'want' rather than a 'need' - the only reason I swapped the front end was that the previous owner had driven over something (most probably a concrete parking thing) and had buggered it up, along with the undertray.

That being said, the look of well finished exposed carbon is pretty sexy, especially the GT2 wing blade and hood in carbon - I think that would add a nice contrast to any turbo.

Removed front left strut using the method below. Also used a air hammer for the lower control arm. Added some lithium grease to fork to prevent tearing. Worked pretty slick.

$30 investment for air hammer and fork
