had an 0234 overboost code awhile back. i knew it was a faulty n75. bought the 35$ part from suncoast because pelican doesnt have any(?) and installed it.
had limited boost to .6 - .7 max ( from a 1.2 - 1.3 normal tuned ) but no more code and and just KNEW it was my wg's needing adjusting. finally got to see my pal at the indie pcar dealership where he's the lead tech. adjusted wg's in the 5 minutes that took.
car again hit's 1.3 sustained again and flawlessly i can't wrench for s*** but at am an ace at self diagnosing.
also tested a near new macan S that i wanted and have been considering as a sport utility vehicle. until my wg's got adjusted! macans are nice for an suv, no doubt. but..
it's a weird trade off. felt like it should come equipped with soccer ***** in the back - or something.
Considering it is Canadian Thanksgiving today, I am thankful for online friends like MotoJB who introduced me to some of his associates that have CAD services and 5 axis CNC machines that enabled me to design, and build, my first ever forged wheel based (loosely) off of the 2005 GT2 cast wheel. I am equally thankful for the 2 layers of ceramic coating I have applied to them today, but I am most thankful for having a 996tt in the first place!
I am less thankful for Falken Tires who have informed me that I will have to wait until the new year to get my hands on a set of the new Z rated rubber in 245/315 sizes... in Canada at least, not sure if anyone in the States have tried this yet.
Nice wheel design/purchase! Did you go with a custom logo center cap? Look forward to seeing them on the car.
I did, I popped them out so I could coat them as well. Now, I just have to wait for the tires to become available.

Yes! 9s and 12s... I really feel this car should have come with a forged wheel from the factory - the 964t, (until the Speedline wheels were available), the 993tt and the 996tt were the first ones to come with cast wheels, then the 997 went back to a forged wheel, and they have been forged since.
One of my factory hollow spokes (rear) took a pothole, but although it isn't bad enough to not take a balancing, It just bothers me that I know it's there... Plus, I have a problem with wheels.
Going to put on the last two coats of ceramics today!

Must have been a huge pothole, my rears are big enough to just go over the ones we have here.
Thank you - I have considered that, but I still have to road test them...
Some design considerations were made in order to improve the safety factor, like spoke thickness. That being said, the rear is almost two pounds lighter than the current OZ HLT 18x12 on the car now, I suspect, due to the thinner barrel. My scale then died, so I don't know the actual weight of the front, yet...
I want to drive them for awhile and then possibly make some design changes before I go to produce another set.
