I have an EVOMS Stage 2 Hammer tune (K16s with a Europipe), and according to EVOMS it produces something around 520 fwhp. I've never dynoed my car (and have no intention to) but I believe EVOMS arrived at their number through dyno evaluation.

Using a conversion value of 15%, 520 fwhp equals about 442 whp.
Correct.

This is why I am thinking Matt has different turbos, and should look at his hood sticker to confirm he does not have an X50...

And consider the validity of the dyno results.

If memory serves, the shop he went to is reputable, and he is at sea level, so unless the dyno was buggered, I think they are probably fairly accurate.

I believe some dynos habitually report numbers that are higher than other dynos.

Yes, that is very accurate - Dynojet is different than Mustang which is different than DynoPak, but, not outrageously so. I believe there are conversion formulae to bring it back to industry standard, Dynojet.

As I recall EVOMS used GIAC as their tuning structure.

in other news today. i learned that my never ending saga of "pre-registration" smog tests are NO LONGER REQUIRED on either of my turbo assisted cars!

yay for me. was an annual nightmare in commiefornia.

Okay, maybe I'm being silly here, but I've never hit the limiter. Will it actually bounce me? I'm scared to try...
