Pretty sure an engineer came up with that ...

That makes sense, but the car would pretty much have to be airborne at that point.
Yeah. It applies more to cars on the track when they fly off apex curbing.

Finally got to drive it after getting over Covid. Wife & I headed out over Grimes Canyon, into Filmore, on to Ojai, around Lake Casitas, into Ventura, then took the freeway home. Enjoyed the hell out of it.

Yes, both of us. My entire office was infected by one of the partners (travel acquired), plus we were too lax with our safety protocols. Live and learn I guess. Spouses affected too, we realized too late what was happening. Fortunately all cases except our patient zero were mild. I can personally testify as to the highly contagious nature of this thing.

a great drive. i just re-located from lake casitas. i will miss the run down the 150 to carpinteria then south on 101 back up the 33. a 30 mile triple digit blast. i have yet to use that extra car cover you gave me. i hope it fits my motorcycle. snow is coming.

give my regards to LA

I am super paranoid about it because I have asthma - I literally go to work and lock myself in my office, to Safeway, and home. If it wasn't raining so much here lately, I'd be walking a ton.

Very happy it wasn't too bad for you.

Cheers,

Thanks, we are in our sixties, so we were a little nervous at first but once past the 10 day point we relaxed a bit. The biggest problem now is all the family & friends are treating us like lepers. Can't blame them I guess.

Super awesome winter drive this morning. Five buddies in five different 911's..
.
  • 930 Targa, beautiful example
  • 996 Turbo 6-speed X50, stock
  • 996 Turbo 6-speed, modified and very well sorted.
  • 997.2 C4S PDK, stock
  • 991.2 Turbo S, heavily modified
We all swapped off cars and had some seat time in each on mountain twisties. Remarkable how each one drove very differently, but each one unmistakably a 911. What an awesome experience, driving different generations of Turbos spanning ~35 years on the kind of roads perfect for Turbos!

Jeez, how many 930 Targas are there? Probably not that many. I always wondered why it was never offered on models afterwards, even if it was limited production.

@SOS , whereabouts in Canada are you? I see a 996TT in my area (Victoria) in your colour, so I have to ask.
