i agree... look at the pic, he didn't even have to fully remove the wipers or cowl cover... he knew to unbolt it enough to slide the glass in and out... looks pro

A friend of mine spends a ridiculous amount of money on bikes like those; it is lost on me, because as I say to him, why would you spend $10k on a bike without an engine?

Then he shows me videos of him getting 30-40' air jumping across ravines... To each his own.

It does look quite sinister though - the matte/satin finish is very nice.

Electric motor assist, yes? Tried the orange Giant version, lots of fun.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed the bike, it gives you assist based on how much force you exert on the pedals. Feels like you have superman legs.

I rode an electric, street registered motorbike(?) about a year ago and I found it very eerie - torque was instantaneous, but the lack of noise from it made me a traffic target.

I am a firm believer in the 'loud pipes save lives' mantra...

Yup. Specialized Turbo Levo Comp. ~90NM of torque and all-day range. Silent, and I love that it looks like a bicycle, not obviously an eBike.

I'm a moto guy, I've ridden dual-sports and dirt bikes all over the world, and believe me I kind of gagged at paying more for a 50 pound bicycle than the last KTM dirt bike I bought, but did my first ride today and they are very cool. I used to love to mountain bike, but as I got older (3X+ the age of my turbo), knees, fitness, body-mass-creep, etc. I just wasn't doing it very much. This will open up all kinds of new terrain. Great single track that is completely legal on an eMTB and no way in hell on one of my KTM's.

Exactly! I was thinking to myself on my first ride today "This must be what it feels like to be a 20-year-old olympian!" as I cranked the pedals up a bit of a steep hill... It only goes when you pedal, and directly related to the force you exert, so it is very natural feeling, but powerful.

$450 for parts AND labor? Seems like great value if so...

agreed, but that can't be with labor included ( can it? ) or i'd have found out, and be able to see out of my windscreen today.

geez, do i need to do that.

back off topic. my dang battery on the e bike has seemingly lost a battery cell. only charges up to 4 out of 5 bars. NBD. a replacement is only 700 bucks
