I took the subwoofer apart and added some Noico sound deadening and polyfill to the inside. Saw Capt. Obvious’s post about it and decided to give it a try.
Also, I removed my rear wiper and will be installing my newly received plug from bumperplugs.com tomorrow after I source some clear RTV silicone.
for the 14 days of rain annually here in SoCal i genuinely appreciate the rear wiper! but i does "look" better removed and plugged. i have another car where the oem rear wiper was removed, and i can't see **** behind me when it rains. that was plain dumb as the rear window is near vertical, unlike ours.
i've never had a bumperplugs painted plug that didn't install easily either. which reminds me. i need a new one for the drivers door ( eric sends two to a pack! ). but i keep having to remove it since the key fob remote keeps shutting of from "non use" so i leave it out. that keyhole is buck ugly lol

Polyseamseal loctite clear.
We use it to seal mudbogging jeeps.

to each their own.
I live where it rains a lot but in three plus years of ownership I’ve never once used the rear wiper. Rain-x and my right foot keep it pretty clear, YMMV.

i'm sure that's right, i've just never thought to remove mine. the angular slope of our rear window makes it ( strangely ) less necessary than the other car which is a hatchback design. i wonder if these particular vw and porsche parts are interchangeable! like our ignition switches are? i could swap the turbo one for the gti. but i bet not lol.
