i'm putting the odds of receiving a "new" tsb re my 17 year old car at 3:1 vs catching a really bad cold. ain't gonna happen.

but, to play it safe. i'm going to continue to tq my wheel nuts at 100 ft lbs. 110 /115 is too much of a good thing - imo.

Jeez all these wheel changes, ive been using a impact wrench to tighten mine!

I use my well calibrated arms, to about 90-100 ft/lb. Drive and recheck. To those who use a torque wrench, when's the last time it was calibrated? I would assume never, so do you trust it to be accurate and precise?

It's way more precise than not using one at all! GRM did a torque wrench shoot out and all the wrenches they tested were within 2-4%. No way you're getting that with your "well calibrated arm"

Agree! Plus you can test your own torque wrench!

I had my torque wrench serviced by the guy from my local Snap-On truck. Came to my house and did it in about 10 minutes. Even if it is off relative to actual it would still be accurate to get all 20 lug bolts the same as opposed to differential torques across the different parts of the wheel. My needs are a bit more specific though since I'm worried about them when the brakes are exceptionally hot at the track.

I received and installed my tune from Kevin @ UMW for my stock car.

I am very happy with this first step and look forward to working with Kevin as I slide down the slippery slope.

What percentage gains in HP and Torque did you achieve?

I won't know until I go to a dyno, which I will very soon...I'll report my findings. I feel like I got what was advertised in this first go-round. The next step is a Europipe exhaust, then another tune.

If you haven't talked to Kevin, I highly recommend you send him and email and/or give him a call.

No. I can change it back and then to the custom tune again.

congrats on the tune and it would have been doubly rewarding, had you been able to put a new exhaust on, same time. they are like fiddle and bow.

so enjoy the empty roads out here. they are seemingly devoid of leo's and lots of people - in a way i have never seen in over 6 decades here.

just look out for the eye in the sky - and be safe.

Agreed. I have a suspension refresh next Tuesday at E-motion Engineering. As soon as that is finished, the Europipe goes on.

oil change, plugs, and water pump/thermostat.
WP is original 149k miles. No blades missing and no bearing noise or leaks.
