I looked into this a little bit when I had 4 cars in the garage and didn't have space for my ktm. I still really don't have space for the ktm inside the garage except for winter time. That was one of the reasons I decided to sell the 4th car. There's basically no good place to rent a garage on our side of town. There are garage condos that are going to be built, but the entry price is hundreds of thousands of dollars and that's just for the space, you need to finish it then. Your best bet, at least financially is to pay someplace like The Man Cave to park them for a bit.

I considered buying one of the condos and then subletting space out to other enthusiasts, that might be something that could work for you?

Many years ago members of my family and some friends of ours who are all car enthusiasts got together formed and LLC and bought a commercial space that had a large storage area as a part of it. We rent out the commercial side and store a crap-load of cars in the storage area. We call it The Bunker.

You folks out there Colorado might want to think about doing something similar.

That's a very good idea.

However, although a little more complicated, sending them north so I can enjoy them year round is a good option too.

I really like that car, it is beautiful.

The tall shifter, I think, would drive me nuts.

Admittedly, I am looking forward to picking up GT3ish on Sunday... I do like driving that one.

R8 goes home this weekend.

All you guys putting BAD ideas in my head...

I think I would have to try one; I'm tall at 6.3, and have very long arms - one of the things I like is that my arm falls naturally to the shift position; even in the 991, I do not use the flappy paddles in manual mode, I use the shifter.

With respect to the above, the wooden shift **** must be very nice when it's hot out; the Rennline one which is in the 996 is awesome, but in direct sunlight it gets very hot.

Just looking at this pic a little closer, is that a fan mounted center, pointing to the driver....?

Serious AC...

I was wondering how stripped down the car was; what does it weigh?

Looks pretty bare.
