Too busy of a life to have to open up the hood, take the cover off with two thumb screws and hook up the poles. But time enough to start an endless discussion about it on rennlist............

It's not a matter of "busy", it's a matter of "easy".

I used the supplied hardwire connections and leave it peeking out of the cowl just below the right side wiper. Don't even have to open the frunk lid that way.

Easy peasy.

"Peaking out" would violate my visual standards for the car.

Your ownership of a 996TT violates my visual standards for the car.

Changed my clutch slave cylinder and accumulator. It was transmogrifying PS fluid from the PS reservoir into brake fluid in the front brake reservoir.

Referred to this site for tips:

Umw tune and getting exhaust shortly. Last done at 15000 miles at porsche Beverly Hills. So it's been 30000 miles since. I was taking my exhaust off and it's only like 6 more nuts and fasteners to get the intercoolers off. Once that was off it was a breeze. The 1st set of plugs I've ever changed in my life and with all the stuff off it took about 45 minutes being careful. Bumper removal was easy exhaust straps were a bit of a biatch. Didn't break or strip any bolts so it was a success. Used a floor jack and harbor freight sells a cross beam that attaches making it and easy one man job

Those plugs look pretty tired. Having a tune does that. Most folks with tunes change plugs every 15-20k miles.

Ya I'll likely do it every year in the winter regardless of miles. Having a lift makes it nice. No one has asked and not sure they will but the yellow string Was attached to the o2 sensor plugs when removing exhaust. when I reinstall I can pull them back up with the string. Just did sensors on my 993 and that's what they recommended on a pelican diy.

Another funny thing!!! I wasn't sure what a dirty plug even looked like. I guess these were pretty bad. I was gonna replace regardless but nice to know I'm not doing something for the hell of it!!
